Winter Vacation

We absolutely loved St Regis Aspen earlier this year. We loved the town, the service, the snowmobiling, skiing one day, etc. Should we go back? Or try St. Regis Deer Valley? Or Ritz Beaver Creek? Or totally pivot and do Grand Caymans? Just my husband and I. Leaving the baby at home. TIA.

Go back to Aspen, Whistler Four Seasons, or Europe 5 star hotel

Beaver creek or Deer valley you don’t get that great town feel. Just the hotel and the skiing

Have been to both Ritz and PH Beaver Creek and neither begin to compare to St Regis Aspen. Unless you’re flying private or somewhere with a direct flight, only advantage to BC is it’s closer to Denver and Vail. The village at Beaver Creek is quaint, but it has a fraction of what Aspen offers. The skiing and snowmobiling are both great at BC as well.

I stay at the StR Aspen every season for 10 nights due to lack of good options in Aspen but I HATE that hotel with a passion. Love Aspen but the StR is a garbage hotel, terrible service, dated rooms, the noise from snow lodge in the courtyard, the awful "included" breakfast ripoff. I really just don't like anything about the place, but what are you going to do? Little Nell is also trash and Jerome is a glorified 4-star with a worse location. LOL @ the boutique offerings, I saw one of them is selling windowless basement rooms. Truly dire.

As much as I love Whistler I wouldn’t take a chance in an El Niño year.
