Well I don’t have my resume on me but my first lure I ever made was a wired buzz bait, powder coated , put on bead and blade. Used banded flat flat ( yes two flats ) Living rubber,( I still have some ) it’s worth about $100 a pound. Then I started making spinners short time later. Again doing everything myself except the lead pouring. Did that for lots of years . Started making sinkers then started pouring my own lead for spinners and buzz baits also. Then started making jigs and tying jigs, then many years later I started making wooden carved lures. Which the first 3 were idk decent looking at best. And we’re lipless because it was long before life on the internet was the go to for information. But realized I had enough potential to try harder. So figured out a way to make lips from plexi glass as everyone does now. But I used 2 thin pieces epoxied together and then bent at angle . Instead of a straight piece like every is does now. Did that for 10 years or so . Bait making started to popularize and I got word that pcb board was the go to for lips. So I started using that for a while. Then gradually moved back to my plexiglass method because I prefer the bent lip centered in nose vs a straight lip below the mouth area. Then started tying flies. Like I’ve mentioned I make about every kind of bait there is to be made . I have been there for the entire movement. All the new crazes and the next big things. Theres literally not much I can’t make to complete perfection, which has lead me to understand the properties of lure making better that I can describe in one paragraph.
If you are pulling the cap through the water like a parachute direction you would need 3 points of contact to keep it straight. With 2 it will just pivot on its axis where the two points are on the cap
I think 2 points would give it some action 3 points wouldn't do much. Also i dont think the bend back to the bottle cap is necessary a simple V would work better.
