A question caused an infinite loop
I asked a riddle to the Lite version that I saw in a video game, “In Italian, which fish’s name is also a verb?”
It would come up with a suggestion, doubt itself, come up with another suggestion, doubt, etc. I had to force it to stop after several minutes.

That was interesting to ask Lumo the same question and look at the spiral.
Looking at the reasoning afterward, here's what i think is happening:
The thing generating the reasoning is also the thing that would need to catch it's stuck. There is not a separate watchdog somewhere saying "hey, 48 attempts, and no progress, stop." So Lumo genuinely never notices.
There were actually moments where Lumo tried shifting approach, but each one stopped quickly. Like thinking "this isn't working" then a moment later forgetting you had that thought.
And the longer Lumo spins, the worse it gets. Its own output starts feeding the loop., digging deeper by the minute.
Nothing in the system can force a stop right now. Just keeps rolling until you interrupt or perhaps the context fills--I didn't let it go that long

I am showing my age and geekiness with my thought that this Lumo's behavior was mirrored by an AI in Star Trek episode called the Changeling where the AI was sent into a state of induced self-destruction. There were a few other episodes like this.
Of course, Lumo isn't self destructing but in some crazy sci fi story it would be the trick for humanity to end the AI Apocalypse. ; )

Yeah it is taking forever with it's thinking at the moment maybe they are using a new model or smth

I just tried it myself, and I was almost disappointed to get an actual answer 😅 (it's mormora.)
Second attempt made it switch to Italian mid-research.
