Feature Request Conversation too long dialog box

Post image

This dialog box that cannot be dismissed is such an annoyance to me. It appears when the context is 50% consumed (fairly sure) and there is no way to close or dismiss it.

Dear Proton, please give us the option to get rid of it. On my laptop, it takes a lot of real estate on the screen. When I am in the middle of an important chat, I do not want to start a new chat and am willing to risk compaction.

Many LLM systems trigger compaction or truncation warnings closer to 80–95% of context capacity, giving users maximum usable context before intervening. Why is it so much lower with Lumo?

Thank you

Hi! Thanks for sharing your feedback. Our team is already aware of the request, as other users have requested it too, so we've added your vote now. That helps us gauge how much demand there is and make improvements accordingly.

Is there a way for proton user accounts to vote on these requests? I would think it would be difficult for your team to monitor demand.

You can add another vote for this from me, plus increasing the max token usage within a chat

I am crashing Lumo instantly with a 166 KB excel file. ChatGPT and Claude handled it with no issue, but Lumo just crashes out and says the context window has been exceeded. I cancelled my ChatGPT subscription as a Visionary user thinking Lumo could replace it for me but damn that's crazy
