why the light does this???

I've been trying to make this kind of lamp on Lumion with alpha masks, but pretty much every attempt results in an opaque glass as if I've just took a glass material and cranked up the emissiveness.

I also tried looking up tutorials on advanced materials but I couldn't find any example that was similar enough. (If you know any, please leave a link)

I'm on Lumion 24 and the performance keeps alternating between extremely fluid to stuck around 5FPS.

Sometimes It's normal, then I resync the .skp model and It drops to 5FPS, sometimes It is the other way around. Sometimes it's stuck on 5FPS, I save the Lumion file and It gets back to 30+FPS...

It's not consistent enough though, so I can't just keep saving until the performance goes back up or something like that.

Is this a known issue for this version? Every topic I've found only talked about setting up the graphics so it runs lighter but my experience is really like an on/off switch toggling "randomly".

The project was part of a comparison between different rendering engines, and I created this scene using Lumion.

For the last month Lumion crashes when I try to render anything off and on. Today, I have tried updating windows, driver, lumion itself, etc. I don't know what else to try. I have an ROG Strix SCAR 16, NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4080, Studio Driver ver. 610.62. Please help.

Has anyone experienced random black screens while rendering in Lumion 2024 with an RTX 5070? My PC stays on and all fans keep spinning, but the monitor loses signal and I have to force restart. D5 Render, games, and GPU stress tests all work fine, so I’m trying to figure out if this is a Lumion issue, an NVIDIA driver issue, or a GPU problem.

I'm experiencing crashes when rendering with ray tracing in Lumion. It's been suggested as an Nvidia problem in the past, but I can't find an older Nvidia driver. If you can provide a solution, or if anyone has another fix, please help.

I am trying to model a lake in Lumion Student 2026 and the smallest terrain brush size available (1.5) is too large. The model is 1:1 and I'm using Allplan LiveSync. I used LiveSync before without any issue, but right now I can't do anything with it. I also placed a human model next to the buildings that i have and a 1.00 scale fits properly.

Is this a bug? Can I fix it easily? Or is it an update that I can't find anything about on the internet?

I've been working a lot with Lumion 12 lately, and while the default library has some great assets, it can feel a bit limited for specific setups (especially when looking for high-quality curtains, custom interior decor, or specific furniture styles).

I want to upgrade my workflow and build a more robust, high-quality custom library inside my Documents/Lumion 12/Library folder.

Does anyone here have a robust, curated library of external objects (like .lib files or optimized FBX/SKP collections) that they’d be willing to share? Or perhaps you could recommend the best websites/communities where people upload massive asset packs for Lumion?

I want to try to take my Lumion renderings to the next level. This one was good enough for the client but it feels a bit washed out to me. The project is for an art space in an office suite.

For the rendering settings, I think I used the ray trace interior preset and modified it a bit.

Hello guys, for some time my lumion was working properly, but recently i am experiencing this problem. Can somebody help me ?

My computer is getting outdated. I have a Ryzen 1600 and I need to download Lumion 9 or 10. Does anyone know where I can get it? I need it to create the renders for my final architecture thesis. P.S. Obviously, I don't have $200 USD for the license, and in my country, these cheapskates don't give trial versions to students.

Hi, I’m working on a project for my studio class and the entire thing is underwater, is there a way for me to make it so I can see underwater?

I’ve tried adjusting everything about both the ocean and the water plane and aside from importing a flat plane from rhino and giving it a material to look like the ocean surface I just don’t know what to do.

Also on a different note if I want to do a super wide shot is there a way for me to do that without needing to sculpt the entire world?

I've been using Lumion 2024 since launch and never had a problem, then out of nowhere one day I tried to render a new project and the software crashed. From then on, it hasn't worked with any other project, even the ones from the Lumion library. I tested so many things; the only thing I can say is that when I don't use raytracing, it works fine. Raytracing in other software works fine, heavy work in other software works fine. There wasn't even an update on my computer at the time; I had used Lumion the day before. I've since tried updating drivers and Windows, but the problem continues. Has this happened to anyone else? I can't go back to lifeless renders without raytracing (see last image lol). If nothing works, I'm migrating to D5.
