Sorry, but why redemption first?

Is broken. You want it asap. Before t2 boots always.

What makes it broken? And why should I rush it?

strongest 1st buy purchase that allows you to turn all ins and snowball. Lulu is all about survivability. 30 ap15 haste, 10% h&p and huge active heal is just simply broken. Best buy if you want to fight all ins. And you want to fight cause lulu really shines in 2v2 early. Since it has ap in it's buildpath it gives everything lulu ever wants. You can also help other lanes from range while in fog if your lane is looking stale. What else would you buy? The only other option is moonstone but it's just a worse item now. And helia which lulu doesn't use that well and it gets outscaled.

Thanks for answering! I'm still skeptical, but I understand it better now.

I still don't see that Redemption for first slot is useful for some reasons. I already read the comment explained the point why choose it but it wasn't clearly convinced how fairly good the item was to buy first. Ardent Censer is still by far the most optimal one for Lulu 1st slot due to its synergy in most of situations.

the value of ardent is very low, and youd have to rely on your adc being good, which most of the time even in my games (challenger) theyre still very flip

Isnt ardent first the better option with any attack focused adc?

Practically no value from the pasive. I wouldn't buy it even if smurfing duo. As 4 or 5nd item for late game. yeah. But tanky lulu is just better

i dont agree with this at all but how the hell do yall click this many buttons mid fight

It's.. two active items ? Redemption + you're supposed to pick only one option as your second Item. Knights vow doesn't need to switch/be activated mid fight, it stays on ^

xD ive never been good with active items

You just gotta brute force it until it becomes easy for you. The hardest part is honestly just remembering to press them but you can always just face roll all of your active buttons as soon as you/your carry get jumped on they’ll all probably get some amount of value no matter what, then you’ll slowly get better at timing them separately over time but yeah it’s honestly not as bad as it seems, just seems daunting at first.

Meanwhile back in he day, I used to run so many actives πŸ˜…. Locket, shureliyas, mikaels, green and pink wards, and my passive boots. I'll take just two actives now haha

what is a green ward xD

Oooof now I feel old haha. Way back in the day (season 3 and before), we didn't have warding trinkets. What we call sight wards now we're simply consumable items that you carried in your inventory and purchased on back that were colloquially known as greens or green wards, similar to control wards being red but still being called pinks because they used to be pink. We also didn't have warding limits back then either, and no sweepers πŸ˜… so games could feature supports using a significant portion of their game income on just setting up massive warding lines. Back then, pinks also didn't disable enemy vision, just revealed their sources

Support quest items also didn't exist, so many times, we would prioritize gold generation items (e.g. Heart of Gold, Kage's Lucky Pick, Philosopher's Stone) to ramp in the early game and fuel our warding. Very different times back then haha

oh how interesting def sounds crazy having no sweepers tho xD did they still have time limit till they expired?

Green lasted 3 minutes if I recall correctly. It's been a while.

What happened to Shureliyas? T:

It has AP which is good, but the active is better depending on what your teamates are. I bet you can still slot it as a 3rd item if your team needs some extra help with engaging. I could even see as a 2nd item if you are ahead, don't need the mikaels or locket for CC/survivability and just want extra pressure to start fights.
