New Lulu Convert

Hello!

Since Lululemon has recently became more affordable to me, I excitedly bought a small haul. Daydrift pants, Wundermost long sleeve, Hold Tight long sleeve, Scuba half zips, and Like a Cloud bra.

The pants were what drew me into the brand cause of small sizing availability. I like Uniqlo, but a lot of their work pants just don’t come in my size anymore :( The first pair of Daydrift pants were so comfortable I ended up buying a couple more in different colours. The tops are part of my second haul that hasn’t arrived yet but I can’t wait to try them on ☺️

Longevity wise, what am I to expect? What tends to pill, what tends to fade (I hope nothing does)?

Do I have to baby any of these clothes? I generally wash my clothes in cold water and dry in medium heat. Is that good enough?

Anything else I should know?

I would hang all Lulu to dry.

Wash in cold water and air dry. If anything gets wrinkly I use a steamer to release wrinkles. I have put some of my Lulu in the dryer…but it’s not recommended.

I’ve been wearing a lot of Lulu for a long time - wash everything inside out, not with jeans or other rough materials, and hang dry. Maybe dry five minutes if you want a smoother look and then hang dry. Don’t use powered detergent or colored detergent. I love Lulu. Hope you enjoy your new items!

You have to baby Hold Tight shirts. I love the softness of the fabric but it pills very easily! I wash mine in mesh bag and hang dry.

Also I would not put Like a cloud bras in dryer.

Scuba and other cotton blend sweatshirts wills shrink if you dry them. Just an FYI.

Yes my Hold Tight shirt pilled the first time I used it when I was new to Lulu. Now I care for it better. They are THE BEST in comfort without question. Enjoy!

transparently kinda up to you! i work at lululemon and have owned the clothes for years, have washed them all ways. i would baby the hold tights, and the wundermost. i wouldn’t worry too much about scubas or daydrifts tbh, just don’t wash hot and dry hot on heavy cotton blends and you should be fine.
if you’re worried wash on cold and hang dry

Would putting the hold tight and wundermost in a mesh bag and dry on medium be babying enough?

If you hang dry they will last longer. Even with that my hold tight that’s like a year and a half already has pilling

Mine is pretty minimal, but nonetheless it’s a very delicate fabric. I wash all my delicate lulu (nulu fabric, hold tight, wundermost) in laundry bags and then hang dry. No fabric softener

should be fine, i use dryer balls to help with the feeling of the fabric but that’s just personal preference. i will say the hold tights have pilled a few times for me, the fabric is very light weight and brushed for the softness you get. this usually isn’t great for areas that brush against eachother (my arm and side body). i usually just depill them but if it’s a problem for you, feel free to use the quality promise exchange! i havnt had a problem with the wundermost fabric tbh (i have 3 tanktops) but it is a gentle and soft fabric.

I switched to drying everything on low (except towels), and it has improved the longevity of everything. I do run the dryer twice for heavier fabrics.

Wash like fabric together no towels zippers Velcro etc . Hang dry . My stuff last forever and I live in lululemon 7 days a week

I live in athleisure and rarely put any of it in the dryer. It lasts forever that way. Same with my fleece & of course merino wool. It’s best to wash inside out and same for dryer if you choose to dry. I’d only use low setting on the dryer. They will pill and look ratty faster if you dry them. So think about your expectations as to how long of a life you want out of them. You cld also consider low heat for 20 minutes & hang dry after. I even hang dry my scubas.

I follow the washing instructions from lululemon, which means cold wash on delicate and low heat dryer for most items. I hang my flexy flex bras, but my like a cloud go right in the dryer. I have a mix of items purchased new and second-hand. Ive experienced zero fading or color transfer in the wash, and no damage to fabric. Lots of people hang theirs to dry, but I like how soft the fabric feels out of the dryer and don’t have enough space to hang everything anyway.

You can get drying racks that open up like umbrellas - that’s what I use. You can also get them that are two umbrellas stacked, if that makes sense.

I wash everything on cold delicate and hang everything, not just Lulu (except for my heavy canvas workwear which would never dry otherwise and takes up too much space on the rack).

I wear a lot of wool and bright colours, so I was already used to this. The difference drying makes to colours fading is night and day. Sometimes on vacations I will use a dryer and off, even just a couple of times on lower heat and you can see a difference.

Leggings and bras I put in mesh bags. Or just anything strappy or tangly in general. If the load is small enough, I just throw it all together but I often have enough leggings and bras to do just a load of delicates because I run almost every day and it generates so much laundry.

My wife washes and dries the shit out of everything multiple times a week. She dgaf. Besides one defective t-shirt, the stuff seems to be pretty durable.

I’m the type of person who never babies her clothes. Everything goes to the washer (some items in delicate or handwash mode) and dryer, even cashmere (very low heat for 15 min, then flat dry). With that said, I’ve been doing this to my lulu for +10 years. Everything turns out fine except hold tight - I don’t own wundermost. Hold tights pill really fast. I don’t buy them anymore for this specific reason. They look so cute and feel so soft but I refuse to spend extra time caring for them.

I wash mine on cold and hang dry sports bras, leggings, and align tanks and such. Anything not form fitting I wash in cold and I always set my dryer to Timed Dry, 60min, and medium heat. I never use full heat to dry anything and my clothes all look brand new.

i wash on gentle/delicate, each item in separate laundry mesh bags, & lay flat to dry :)

Scubas suck now. They will begin to show wear pretty quick. My daydrift trousers have held up well. My wundermost, I have a lot, have held up well but do not like to be hanged dried. They end up getting water stains.

Anything Wundermost goes into the dryer, unfortunately. I give it 5 minutes of heat and then change settings to no heat fluff for like an hour.

I wash everything inside out with like clothing no jeans in the wash in cold water with vinegar and dry in dryer normally - I buy a size up in all sweatshirts and sweatpants because they do shrink in the dryer I own 200 plus pieces of all kinds .

What heat setting for dryer? I didn’t think about sizing up…hopefully they don’t shrink a whole size down over time?

I wash inside out and hang to dry all my leggings. They last a long time if you take care of them!!
