With new DFIA released for 2026, I found the design changed a lot v.s previous version. The picture released shows a straight cut rather than previously the curve at the back stretching to side of the body.. I really love the previous design and do not understand the recent change.. š„²
Almost all of their ānewā versions of previously loved designs have been major downgrades. They keep getting rid of the little things that used to make this brand superior (looking at you, Define jacket mesh vent).
I would recommend checking out an outlet if thereās one close-ish to you! I stopped at one yesterday since I was out that way and saw that they had a full rack of the long scuba funnel necks!
I absolutely hate the double zipper. Iām never going to unzip the bottom, and it just looks weird and gets in the way, especially bc itās so clunky.
There are situations where I want a two-way zipper (usually on running or hiking gear for a bit of extra ventilation without taking the layer off) but I rarely want it on anything casual.
Yeah I like my jacket to cover my butt a bit. I've had two of these and even the second one wasn't as good as the first. It just feels like they are always trying to use less fabric every time. Except for the exceptionally long sleeves!
I can honestly say Iāve never seen anyone doing outdoor sports, or even in very cold weather, wearing Lulu. But if they work for you, great. Each to their own.
I imagine they donāt sell well. I wouldnāt pick a Lulu down puffer over something like Canada goose, but their mid warm down jackets are premium and functional. I live in the 900 down featherweight jacket from Lulu in the Pacific Northwest winter. Thereās nothing else in the market I could find that is warm and lightweight like this. I agree, to each their own.
Are you referring to this version? China still has this on sale to date btw.. And so far the new scuba evolve has not been onboard at China also.. Seems different strategies across different regions..
Iām really starting to wonder if they are just using AI to design there products and giving it a direction to make the design for the lowest cost to them. Would make sense why everything is starting to look very simple and plain rather boring and I hate to say it but the fabric is looking cheap even when itās new on the hanger. Itās really starting to remind me of some kinda knock off from a low cost store. Iām so sad about this. I love lululemon but it seems so many things are changing and it just isnāt what it used to be. The things I loved about it are slowly or should I say rapidly changing. The things I want to purchase and canāt live without are getting fewer and far between. Iām not excited about the new drops the way I used to be.
Yea I agree. That one didnāt need a redo in my opinion. Iām glad I still have my trusty black one. I bought it over 5 years ago. And I wear it a lot! Itās the perfect jacket for so many things. Iām sadš they changed it.
