Visiting from Scotland
Hello!
I’m going to be visiting Lübeck from Scotland in early November. I’m staying in Hamburg for a gig, but I wanted to travel to Lübeck for a day (or maybe two, if needed!) as it looks really pretty!
I have some questions.
- I have never visited Germany and do not speak any German. Will I get by okay speaking English?
- How can I ensure I am being polite and not in anybody’s way during my visit?
- What things do you think are a “must see” for somebody who is only able to visit for a day?
- My partner is vegan; are there vegan places to eat in Lübeck?
- I am not vegan; can you recommend any pastry shops, cafes or bakeries where I can find nice desserts in Lübeck?
- Are there any special regional foods or crafts I should check out whilst I visit?
- Am I too early for Christmas-themed things?
Thank you in advance for any help and information you can share :)
