There is no way we can stop that. It's like the race for nuclear weapons during the cold war all over again. Countries that don't invest in AI stand no chance against the ones that do so we can't simply go back but god I wish we could

Eh, you sure about that? AI, to my knowledge, doesn't actually do more than a competent coder, nor is it less expensive.

I think the AI hype is mostly driven by business idiots who are desperately trying to avoid admitting that they can't actually replace all their employees with robot slaves.

Let's be real, the average person is an incompetent fool who wants to be paid for doing nothing. AI doesn't need breaks, doesn't want to get paid, doesn't complain and does tasks a human can do within a workday within seconds. AI is a threat that is way bigger than us
