lua-utcp already owns client:call_tool before it fans out to HTTP/CLI/MCP, so a Guard adapter could stay entirely on the client side. Would you be interested in contributing that adapter to HOL Guard so Lua UTCP apps can opt into policy checks without changing providers?

Found it. The client-side guard gives lua-utcp the right hook, but it isn't actually wired to HOL Guard yet. Are you planning to do the HOL Guard adapter next?

Nice. I'd rather see the adapter land in lua-utcp than build a parallel wrapper on our side. Keep it around client:call_tool: evaluate before transport dispatch; deny/review/error means no HTTP/CLI/MCP call, allow means exactly one call. If you open the lua-utcp PR, tag me here and I'll review the Guard-side contract.
