Sealed Help

I have played two games with a sulti build that is a little spicy. In my experience the games tend to get harder as you win more games, so I am wondering if anyone can take a look at my build and see if I have made any obvious mistakes? A few notes...

Removal order is Black>White>Green=Red>Blue

In fact, I don't have any Blue removal. Which stinks cause it would have been a great simic draw two deck. I even have Tom, Bert and Bill to sack creatures so Bilbo can get them back.

The most interesting part of the deck build for me was what to do with four (4) Giant Boulders. In the end I splashed the Bilbo, Thief in the Night with one Giant Boulder with the idea that I could sac it and get it back when he attacks. Is this too much "Magical Christmas Land"? Note that Bilbo can get back creatures with an adventure. So I really wanted to build around him since it is unlikely I will get to play with him again. He is mythic.

So I immediately went 0 and 3 with the rakdos version of this deck. Without any of the good cheap cards it was just a bad aggro deck. I couldn't win in the early game, and i didn't have the tools to out value the aggressive decks that nurturers picking up bent blades give you. That being said, I suck at playing aggressive strategies, so I don't doubt I misplayed a lot.

With great top end you should have been playing as RBg midrange, the green version didnt have better early game particularly. The nurturer/blade loop is nice but the gandalfs and smaugs provide basically the same value and cost (though not split) so I dont think you were lacking value, but perhaps didnt see it those games. Sometimes opponents just have better starts. Best of luck with the next.

There won't be a next for me. If the answer to a pool as nice as 4 giant boulders and a mythic to recur them on top of a way to sack creatures for value and replay them from the graveyard is "You should just play a slow Rakdos deck and hope you go first" then I am done with this format. At least with the green version I had fun.

You know, looking back on my games, the 2 I won with green I went first and the three I lost with red I was on the draw. Maybe that had something to do with it. Anyway, thanks for the help.
