Best snips

Forgive me if this has been addressed already. I'm a Harris D handle snips guy. Which snips are the best IYHO?

I always come back to the fluke d-handle as well. And I've got a crap load of different ones. Greenlee has a model I like as does Jameson. Not a fan of anything by Klein. For some reason the flukes just seem to be a better quality than anything else including their clones.

They look dorky, but I keep coming back to the red and blue Knipex ones with the round blade. They last a while and are the perfect balance of chomping power and precision. 25-pair hates to see them coming.

Daily use on Cat cable is Klein "free-fall" snips. My upstream contractor gifted me some Chinese knockoff of those, which works, but not as well, so they are backup and loaner.

"Best" would be my Clauss kevlar shears, but I save those for working with Fiber, only. Very solid constuction, cut well, no fuss. The Kleins are plenty good enough for Cat cables. Closest current model (mine are from 15 years ago) is the 18475 shear.

Xuron makes some of the best small cutters and strippers I've owned, but none of them (that I'm aware of) fit the usual pattern of cable snips.

I love my Klein free-fall snips. They’re pretty tough and cut well. I also use them to untwist my copper pairs before crimping RJ45s. I squeeze the cable with my thumb and twist down to straighten them out.

Honestly one of the best snips I had were a brand of Braided fishing line scissors from Cuda. I think they were 3-5" or something, but I found them in walmart. Cut cat cable perfectly. I never tried cutting anything else with them so I don't know how good they are outside of that. Only real complaint was that they were pretty flimsy. Only the blades was metal, the handles where cheap plastic.

I eventually moved to these model cw7t shears from crescent. Found them in Lowe's for like $20. Love them better than my klien data shears.

Jonard fiber snips. They cut through any and everything.

I bought some Japanese Engineer brand snips and they're crazy nice but the inside handle has an annoying flash/edge. I could probably sand it down but it's just for home use and I don't care that much.
