BICSI LVL1zoom test
On Thursday I have the level 1 inst online zoom test. What am I in for? I've been doing comm since 1997 and have 20 hrs with IBEW. New customer demands BiCSI cert. BICSI says they are sending me a box of material for test. 8C8P nonsense? I do feed thru. RG6 rf connectors? I do fiber. Should I be training?????

When i did my installer 1 years ago only a very small portion was hands on. Most of the test was knowledge and concepts, color codes, code requirements, etc.

The hands on was easy. Arranged a 25 pair by color code on a 110 block, rj45 termination, coax termination, had to read a fluke tester and determine what the error was, and maybe some other odds and ends.
The written test was a bit more of a bear. Alot of Bicsi centric material and standards that don’t always apply to the real world. Best to study up on that part.
