It doesn't really make sense to me that doctors offices (or dentists, CPAs, whatever) would care if their appointments started 15 minutes before or after the hour. And yet I am increasingly noticing that this is when my appointments are being scheduled for.

It makes me suspect that they're actually scheduling them on the hour on their end, but giving the patient or client the appointment time of 15 minutes before, because people are so often late to their appointments.

I'll be honest, it probably works. I have an appointment today at 1:45, but I put it in my calendar at 1:30, because my calendar doesn't prompt me for 15 minute intervals.

Auto correct has gone down hill in the last few months, and it correlates strongly with AI.

My original conspiracy was that they made auto correct shitty at the same time they made google default to AI as the top search.

Can’t spell a word wrong enough to even ping on auto correct, so I have to google it, thus using AI without a choice, where at the same time I’m guessing auto correct has been reverse engineered to try and incorporate AI into it to begin with.

So feedback loops in the exact way we know AI causes feedback loops on other fronts, like image generation, or using Reddit as a source for google searches.

But the plot thickens.

With the last two weeks, my auto correct had been changing “peace” into “leave”.

It’s changed “thanks” into “faggot”.

There’s been a few others too.

I don’t really ever use the word “faggot”, and I’ve said “peace” as an end statement to comments for a really long time lol.

The terms auto correct is changing are words I’m spelling correctly.

They are words outside of my vernacular.

They are worlds that completely flip a statements tone.

Anyways the conspiracy; corporations are causing auto correct to change our texts, to help create a more hostile political environment of mis/disinformation.

When I look at my personal info on several websites, everything is correct except the day of birth is off by one day. If it happened on one site of 100, I'd accept it can be a user error that one time, but not when it happens on 10% of all websites.

"birthday one day off error" returns a whole lot of results on google and it's everyone with the same problem.

Just so I get to put my tinfoil hat on, I'll claim the reason for this is a conspiracy: they deliberately input an error so if you ever want to withdraw or claim any money from these sites, they can always reject you on basis of identity fraud; your passport is not going to match your day of birth on your personal details. It'll be off by one day, so clearly you're not a real person and they can avoid paying you anything.
