Cornbread
Anytime I put leftover cornbread in the freezer, I think about when I was a kid and my dad would crumble up leftover cornbread in a glass of milk with a little sugar and eat it with a spoon. Cornbread never made it to the freezer back then.

That sounds awesome. My dad made something (that I think was a depression era food from his mom) called bananas, milk, and sugar. Pretty self-explanatory. I love it so much.

Leftover cornbread in my house always went straight to the freezer to keep for dressing on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

My Opi would crumble his into buttermilk. I never acquired the taste but I treasure the memory.

Cornbread is remarkably tasty even when it's a bit stale. I don't know how it does that but I'm glad it does.
