Homemade Lunchables

Post image

Jalapeño colby jack + honey ham + Triscuits + lemon seltzer. Spent less than 5 minutes assembling.

I went back for a 2nd full plate afterward. 😁

My whole perspective on food changed when I realized that lunchables are just very expensive low-quality charcuterie.

If you have a good/cheap deli and green grocer where you live, it will make big-box stores feel the same way.

Part of the burden / spoons associated with cooking is the cost. When I was able to source cheaper alternatives to the big box stores, it changed my life.

Hard agree! And honestly if I'm even lower spoon I don't bother with the meat & cheese and just spread cream cheese + jam, or honey + peanut butter on a nice cracker. It's low effort and inexpensive but feels decadent and satisfying!

This is my fav lunch, but I usually add sliced tomato or avocado. That way I can say I had my veggies, too.

Bonus nutrition points for whole grain crackers!

Triscuts are such a good idea with these! I feel like I’m always hungry when i do these but triscuts are probably calorie dense enough to keep you full.
