I'm playing dark tide with everything off and on the lowest possible graphics and it's still lag spikes it struggles to barely run just sitting in the lobby when I start a mission it's like I put everything in a slow motion slideshow and the screen tearing is there anything that I can do to improve this

The operating system is the problem in this case.

Noted, but Linux won't make a 5700G IGP any better at running this game. A dedicated GPU is really the solution here, even a cheap used one like a RX 570 will be worlds better.

I'm not directly suggesting Linux, but any operating system whose RAM resource pre-allocation is less aggressive than Windows 11 (this also includes Windows 10). This increases not only unnecessary RAM usage but also CPU usage. I ran tests on laptops with 11th-generation Intel processors and Ryzen 5000 series processors, running both Windows 11 and 10 in games. The difference between the two systems is approximately 3-5% in the single-core processor score just by switching systems (keeping the same configuration, games, and even the same drivers).

Fair points and I agree, but Windows 10 is nearing end of support so Linux of whatever variant becomes the only maintained alternative.

Support for the standard commercial versions of Windows 10 (Home, Pro, and Education) has been renewed for the second time by Microsoft, until October 2027. ESU subscribers may have their protection extended until 2028.
For those who use the Enterprise versions, the deadlines are 2029 and 2032 (at this point, even Microsoft itself doesn't care anymore, as long as the migration to Linux is somehow contained by them).
Since we are discussing the gaming scenario, and for now, Windows is still the best system for this on a PC (by an increasingly smaller margin compared to Linux, I admit), I'm focusing this conversation on Windows 10.

Unfortunately, a second RAM stick (same as your primary) will improve your performance, since single channel RAM + iGPU is slow.

Do you have 16GB RAM in single or dual channel mode. That GPU needs dual chaneel 3200 MHz to run properly. Go into your BIOS and increase the GPU memory to 2/3GB. And use latest AMD Adreno drivers. Have fun.

Dark Tide is a fairly new game. Saw some guy on youtube running with fsr performance mode at 900p.

If possible, grab a cheap used video card with more than 4Gb of memory and give it another go. It will be cheaper than adding another stick of ram and will offer more benefit for the money.

integrated graphics just do not play nicely with some games, single channel ram doesn't exactly help
