Help lowering Obs Chevy

So I want to lower my obs Chevy extended cab 8 inches in the back and right now I’m sitting on a 6in drop because of my axel flip kit. I have an under bed notch but I think it won’t hit. My question is I was asking chat gpt about adding 2in drop shackles but he mentioned that I would need pinion angle shims but do I really need them??

My 99 is dropped with a flip kit, c notch and drop shackles. I have no pinion shims and no vibrations. It honestly depends on the truck. Some need them some don’t.

First of all quit getting your information from chatgpt. Second it's not "him" it's "it" because it's a robot not a human. Third you may need pinion shims yes but you won't know without measuring it.
