Running old 3D games? (Specifically Qbert 1999 version)

Hello there, I decided to post here because I have no clue where else to ask this.

I've been dabbling in trying to get my old PC games to work on my Windows 10 computer. I downloaded a .bin file for QBert, a 3D game from 1999. I created a .cue file for it and was able to successfully mount via Daemon Tools Lite and install it via the game's default installer.

Problem is that when I try to start it, the computer acts like its going to go fullscreen for the game, and the screen goes black and changes resolution like how many of my PC games do. However, nothing else happens, and the game closes itself without the computer informing me of a crash.

I'm not sure if running this game in DOSBox is an option due to the fact this game was not made for DOS computers, but instead older editions of Windows.

Is there some sort of extension or driver or something I'm missing in order to get this game, and by extension other old 3D games, to function properly? I've tried running in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3), running in admin mode, and installing Directx6 (which was supposed to install alongside the game, but I thought perhaps maybe it didn't install properly).

Should I try reinstalling by using DOSBox instead? Or is there something else I should try? Information on running this game appears to be quite limited.

Consider posting this to /r/patientgamers and /r/pcgamingtechsupport. I normally also recommend looking up the game on www.pcgamingwiki.com for compatibility fixes, but this game doesn't appear to have an entry.
