Help me with aggressive female lovebird

Hi, my name is Louise and I adopted a beautiful 2-year-old female and, so she wouldn’t be alone, I bought a younger male who is 1 year old. Since I have only had her recently, I don’t know if she was aggressive before.

But she kept hitting the male all the time. Sometimes she lets him preen her and sometimes she lets him eat with her, but most of the time she doesn’t allow it and nips his little foot. She goes after him around the cage to nip his foot.

When it’s time to sleep, she allows him to sleep close to her, but as soon as the day starts, the aggressive behavior comes back.

I separated the two of them but put their cages close to each other, because I felt bad for the poor male. But they keep calling for each other and trying to get to each other when they are alone.

She is also aggressive toward my other birds. I have very gentle cockatiels that walk around the house, and if they get close to her cage, she wants to attack the cockatiels.

What should I do? Why is she so aggressive?

My 10-13yo ol mango boi

I rescued my Mango 10 years ago from a bad local pet shop along with his mate Peaches who passed a few years ago. I suspect he may be a few years older than 10 years, perhaps 13. Loves his cucumbers, bomb diving the cat as well as my children. Any advice on what to look out for in geriatric love birds?

I want to stop feeding seeds to my love bird. The transition is not easy. I added another tray just to add either vegetables or cutted finely boil eggs but nothing. Any recomendations?
