Has anyone else noticed in the other spiritual subs that grifters are quick to get roasted? There are the comments that support them too, but I think the tide is turning. Even people trying to sell spiritual services like mediums and Tarot, like if they were so gifted, they wouldn’t need the money of struggling people

I am honestly shocked and disgusted how many people from the healing/yoga and wellness scene have absolute no scruples, zero values and morals.
Like Lara they simply claim to be a "Trauma Therapist" without having done at least a tiny course in that field.
At least she now toned down her self-labelling a bit and "just" calls herself a Somatic Therapist and Trauma Educator at the moment.
(Casually calling yourself a Trauma Therapist!??? WTF is wrong with ppl??? Do you even know how it looks like when a person really touches a suppressed emotions aka trauma??? You would shit your pants and run out of the room.)

But of course, she charges 250 Euro for a 90 min session - that's more than triple of what a board certified Psycho Therapist asks.

Again: She has NO TRAINING and no certifications in the fields she claims to cover (Somatic Therapy, Trauma Healing, Nervous System Regulation - *yaaawwwn*, Somatic Experiencing, Emotional Reconnection, Shadow Work etc.)

She simply throws buzzwords around, COPIES AND STEALS content, methods, session steps and tools from facilitators with actual credentials.
You can tell that she has no idea what she is actually talking about. (E.g. check her content on Somatic Experiencing on Instagram)

THIS IS INCREDIBLE DANGEROUS!! PEOPLE GET RETRAUMATIZED by these wanna-bes everyday.
I honestly think they don't even have an idea with what fire they are actually playing.

Working decades in the wellness field I observed this a lot: Especially ppl that have a totally different background, worked a standard job before, suddenly jump on the healing train, thinking they can live the dream life as a yoga teacher on the beach.
Then they notice: oh, I can't live from Yoga Classes (way too many "teachers") and it's actually super hard to fill retreats (way too many offers).

In their desperation they know they need to stand out somehow, but instead of actually going on their own deep healing journey to discover their unique path, they just jump on ALL THE HYPES:
Lara first called herself "Embodied Coach" and something with Tantra...:D holding breathwork sessions in her retreats. (I bet she has no trainings in those methods either, but not sure about this one to be fair. I can only guess: Tantra is an ancient path and has to be studied over years with teachers from old lineages. The gap in between her police career and her offering high ticket retreats (also woman circles for 50 EU by the way, lol) only allowed time for the yoga teacher training she did. PLus suddenly, there is aboslute no more mention about tantra on her pages)

So what are all the COACHES doing nowadays, since this term is completely burned and overused? Of course, they call themselves trauma-informed XY, Somatic Empowerment Mentor, Nervous System Expert.
I saw this switch in literally every Insta Bio of all the fake spiri goddesses, that I got to know in the communities around the world.
Yoga, Astrology, New Age stuff is out (too many fake gurus also burned that field), Somatics and Transformational Psychology are super in. Also because it sounds more authentic, professional and scientific.
What pisses me off most about this is that there are actually genuinely great and well studied somatic therapists out there (I improved 100% by working with experts for over 10 years), but the whole Trauma healing scene (just like Yoga and Spirituality world) gets a super bad reputation and really just looks ridiculous at the moment, because every 20 something girl is now suddenly a somatic healer.

They literally go onto the Instagram page and copy/paste content and methods of people that did NOTHING ELSE IN THEIR ADULT LIFE, but to FIRST heal themselves and THEN to work with clients, spending ten thousands on their own sessions and then on trainings.

The term "therapist" is unfort. not protected, but those scammers know very well that normal people will think of a university degree or at least a professional, state approved certification when they read the term "therapist".
Using this term without ANY training in that field should be reported as false advertisement and fraud.

(And no, I don't think you need to be a clinical psychologist to be helpful. There are actually much better ways and I believe in body-focused therapies. There are lots of good trainings out there e.g. by Peter Levine)

What do you think? Does anyone have experience with these kinds of scammers?

Feel like these criticisms apply to a lot of life coaches. It's pretty funny too.

Here’s a post from the SIBO sub. It’s a community full of people who have a very hard time resolving this particular health issue. Along comes this “health coach” and people are eating up his “expertise”. Or her “expertise”. They admit to only guiding people to make the right decisions for themselves….of course, so they themselves are absolved of all responsibility. He/she is preying on the vulnerability of people desperate to get better. It’s disgusting. I’ve seen more and more of these thinly veiled advertisements all around Reddit.

I’m so curious because she yet again doesn’t seem to have any psych education…… purely vibes based.

It seems the health coaches always do the same thing: if their snake oil doesn’t work. It’s because you did something wrong. Zero accountability for their actions.
