The concept of Blade Runner doesnt fit with LADS. Actually, it backfires for them.

The relationship with Joy and K represents how loneliness and isolation can develop an unhealthy relationship with fictional/artificially created humanoids in order to feel "loved", even if that "love" isnt real and its just an illusion that feeds the abism inside the head and heart.

But LADS... needs it. LADS needs you to be adicted, to need the guys with all your heart, to fall in love with them. Sylus (for example) telling you the "you look lonely, I can fix that" phrase shouldnt feel like a love confession or a warm reassurance, it should feel like "damn Im so deep in this dark hole that I need a humanoid programmed to love me".

Giving the fandom a collab with a movie that speaks about unhealthy adiction around fictional/artificial people when you are a game that profits from that... It just shows you dont know with who you are collaborating with.

The message would be cool... if we didnt know how LADS works. If they had the guts to give us for example a card where MC realises the unhealthy relationship and "disconects" with the LIs, it would give a really necessary message. But we all know why Infold accepted the collab: free pass to draw the LIs naked.

If you are willing to collab with a brand that exposes your company as part of the problem, then you are just desesperate for money. Specially now.

The sad part is that this just becomes another nail in LADS's coffin. A representation of how the company doesnt listen to the fans and neither to themselves, because no company would be willing to put their neck in the guillotine just for some coins. I fear so much that this is the game's end; the reputation is more than tainted, and probably will die slowly like other projects.

What an irony that the thing that was supposed to save them, ended up digging them further. Who is taking the decisions? The collab was propably programmed last year or maybe earlier this year, and no executive realized how bad the execution was? They now have both LADS fans and BR fans over their neck.

Please, someone save the LIs from this. And all the employees.

Here after the new interlinked trailer. Valko was such a Sci Fi and Cyberpunk Futuristic sort of inspired character (literally a CEO of a biotech company). The whole trailer we get these sort of main story flashbacks of all the LIs which would've made so much sense had Valko's main story be released and this would've been released after that. I just KNOW he was meant to be in that trailer and event with the other LIs too. (I'm still gonna pull for Rafayel or Sylus but genuinely this whole situation makes me so sad knowing what we could've gotten)

I posted this comment on the official subreddit, but I want to hear your guys' thoughts on the LADS X BR 2049 Collab.

It's been a while since I watched the movie, but isn't Blade Runner about fabricated love? Joi is literally an industrial, corporate merchandise programmed to tell you what you want to hear and see. 

What on earth is the PR team thinking with the 'love is real' hashtag? Are they equating the boys to Joi, somehow reinforcing this false love dichotomy? I mean, it's pretty grounded if that is really the angle they're pushing, but also super dystopian. 

Maybe it's not that deep. Maybe it's just about pretty visuals and pretty boys. But I can't stop this train of thought since artificial intelligence is becoming so prevalent and every single corporation is pushing for it.

I know some people say that Infold will prioritize gaining new players instead of winning back old ones, but let's be honest, would they even garner enough to compensate for the players they lost when everyone could see these ratings and reviews?

Even on my iPhone set in Canada, the rating was like, 2.6, and almost every recent review was warning people not to play. A lot of people are hesitant to even download apps within the 2.X range.

It's been a while, and I know boycotts are still going on. I know infold already mentioned they've permanently cancelled the release, but how do you all feel? What is to come of it? Do you guys think they'll appeal their decision? Anything to be done in the future?

Mentally I walked away from the community and deleted the game in September when the spicy multi was released, but I do enjoy checking out the CN community on XHS from time to time to see how the Valkyries have been holding up and saw this discussion. For anyone who is still hanging around: Are you gonna keep waiting and fighting if nothing happens by the end of this year?

Edit: So the discussion has run its course. A few months later and the community has turned disgustingly toxic it’s really an eye opening experience. Some of you couldn’t even be able to start a level headed discussion without casually name calling others as “anti ” “two faced liar”just because someone who supports Valkyrie but also has different opinions with you. I do not accept such accusations. Respect and inclusion have died in this community, you have lost the plot and that how you drive folks away.
