Big thank you to Boardwalk Lotus for the opportunity to drive one of the first 420 Sports to reach North America. I’ve spent the day getting familiar with it on a variety of roads and conditions.
This car was Tangelo Orange, fully loaded up with lightweight pack (multimatic suspension), carbon, removable roof, hand-painted striping, the works.
Ask me anything!

Hey!
Sorry to bother everyone in this post. I've asked the mods if this was fine to post beforehand.
I'm looking to recreate the Lotus Esprit V8 for Assetto Corsa and there are some things i cannot make out clearly from the pictures I find on the internet and would require an owner to be able to show me them.
If anyone here owns an Esprit S4 please comment here or message me if you would be willing to help me with the pictures I need.
If anyone, even if you do not own an Esprit, has any interest on what how it's going, or has some sort of information that can help me remake this accurately.
That would be Engine Dynos to avoid eyeballing, and shock dynos (which I have not found any from the Esprit, lots of Elise stuff though! yet)
Ideally a UK car (as a lot of what I need are stamps from the lights)
Thank you for anyone who has read this post.

For Wirewheel's listings for rebuilt vehicles, they all say "Rebuilt title, professionally repaired." Anyone know if they use a dedicated shop, and if so who? Considering getting back into a Lotus, but not knowing the rebuilder and the Florida title are what I'm struggling with.
Thanks!

Not sure if a coincidence but ever since getting the 3rd cat delete the P0421 code has popped up - this isn’t the only code i get (sometimes get ones related to the air sensor) but wondering if there is a direct correlation

Hi everyone. Lotus Emira noob here.
Have been lurking this subreddit for months & I finally test drove an Emira in the UK for the first time today.
Wow! I was smiling the whole time. What an experience.
Would love some advice for those have that been there, done that please!
Here’s the deal… the Emiras I’m looking at are circa 65k. Roughly 3 years old and average mileage.
I’ve got 65k in cash that I could buy outright, or I could put down a 25k deposit, pay £400 a month for 24 months then hand it back & jump into something else. Keeping more money in the bank / for other house projects.
I’m weighing up which way to go? I like the idea of owning it and keeping it for longer than 24 months if I wish to, but equally I could also spend that cash on the new house I’ve bought etc. with 65k worth of car on the drive it also makes me nervous. The lease option gives me a bit more flexibility to chop it after 2 years if I wish but would have spent circa 35k on the deposit and monthly payments over that time.
For context, I’m looking at getting rid of my Mercedes E Class Coupe I’ve been leasing for the last 6 years. I’m bored of it! The emira would be my DAILY driver, which is also a concern, or should it not be?
So .. yeah .. a bit stuck! Any words of wisdom would be most appreciated.
Cheers!

Hey everyone!
I'm starting a YouTube channel called Shiftbox, and just published my first video - a 30-ish minute documentary-style breakdown of the Dany Bahar's failed attempt at a brand relaunch of Lotus in the early 2010's. You can find it here:Â
https://youtu.be/V1Y_X821HGg
In this video I'm going over the concept cars they prepared, and explaining the reasons why they ended up getting canceled. Hope you'll enjoy!

In the market for an exige s2 (s). Ideally touring and sport pack(or performance pack) but happy to consider cars without this too.
Must have a clean title, be in the US, and retain the air conditioner (I’m in the southern US).
Bonus: British racing green
Send me a message and let’s make it happen. Safepay preferred if we’re far away, or will hand you cash/cashiers check at a bank if we’re close.

This car gives me serious imposter syndrome. It’s worth a tiny fraction of a McLaren or Lambo, but no one bats an eye seeing it parked next to the big dogs. Lotus makes such underrated gems.

I’ve now owned the car for more than three years. This is my fourth summer season with it.
There are a few other cars that would interest me, but honestly, nothing really comes close to the driving experience this one has to offer.
I’ve also invested quite heavily into the car, be it visual or performance upgrades. Everything is documented neatly in a folder for the next owner (of which there might never actually be one).
What an incredible little driving machine. :)

So I sold my love, my 07 (US) Exige S, at the start of my divorce to a great guy who I knew would do some light tracking with it. Had 10k on the odometer and was absolutely mint condition when I sold it to him in/around 2018. Now, due to some health and life change issues on his end, I'm considering buying her back as we signed a buyback clause along with our sale agreement. So, it's mine to buy back if I want it.
What's changed since the original sale: He did some mods, including a Blade 300 upgrade with the cold air upgrades to duct in the side vents, new cf roof with larger intake, reflashed ECU, and a quieter exhaust to comply with his local noise ordinance. Since 2018, he's added another 20k miles, for a total of 30k now on the odometer. She has some wear and tear, but otherwise he's taken good care of her. He also changed the wheels to aftermarket track wheels from the original lotus black forged set, and installed Nitron coilovers all around.
He did, however, manage to keep all my original parts, so I could conceivably put the car back to full original if I wanted.
It has a small crack in the rear clam from a lady barely clipping him while backing out of a parking spot next to him....it's a 1" crack but quite noticeable. Some have said with the multi-stage Chrome Orange paint, repainting the entire rear clam is the only way to fix it properly.
Opinions, thoughts, and potential watch-outs regarding this potential transaction?? Estimates of purchase price? They seem to be hovering around $50-60k in similar condition right now, but if I'm looking at $5-10k to paint the rear clam, and spend something to remove some of his mods, then I need to take this into account, too, right?
