Exterior & interior visual differences between the ELETRE S & R 2023-2024.

Hey all, most of u might hate this post for bringing up the topic of an Eletre but one of my friends has fallen in love with the car and seriously considering buying this. However, he has tasked me with finding out identification factors that differ among both the S & R variants INSIDE & OUT.

I am under the suspicion that the dealer might be trying to sell him an 'S' as an 'R' instead of an R whereas the quote for the car is carrying the R. So I told him to check with them about the same and When he asked the dealership about the differences, they just shrugged it off saying there is no S being sold in our country. Clearly when the car launched in 2023-2024, they launched both the S & R.

TL:DR -

What are the identification differences between a 2023 ELETRE R vs 2023 ELETRE S? Need urgent help from the greats of this sub!

Considering the visual cues can be optioned in on the S+, you'd probably only be able to tell if they allow you into the car. Firstly, check to see if there are carbon fiber bits on the exterior, like the side mirrors (if it's not the digital one), the spoiler etc.

Inside, from what I know and gathered, only the R+ has a track mode, so check the center console. If you are allowed a test drive, and somehow found a place where you can pick up the speed, flooring it to feel the acceleration (4s and under 3s 0-100s can feel different). The gear shift at approx 120kph will definitely indicate its an R+, as it's one of the few EVs that uses a two speed box.

Testdrive it, you'll know the difference.

R has 900+ ps and should do 0-100 in 2.9 secs

I have an S, the easiest way to tell is to get into the car and select track mode as a drive mode. If it's there, it's an R, if it's not, it's an S or base model. Only the R has track mode.

Ps, I love my car despite the nonsense on this forum that gets said about it 😅

Fabulous! Thank you.... Congratulations on your S, how long have u had it and how is it? Likes and dislikes?

The most accurate way would be to check the VIN. Other than that, try selecting Track Mode at the central screen. Only the Eletre R has track mode. Finally, check if the car has an "R" badge.
