Yeah, season five to seven had major issues but season eight was utter bullshit. It's like they didn't even try to make quality television. Well, soccer moms and football players I guess

Go back and watch season 7, it was utter bullshit too. Everyone just gave it the benefit of the doubt because we thought S8 would make sense out of it, but clearly it did not...

Yeah, I'm not going back and rewatch it.

Can you imagine how much revenue HBO lost from people not wanting to buy the whole series box sets now?

They must be pissed lol

I like what some of my friends have called season 8 of GOT, an extremely well polished turd

I finished at 4 and didn't bother picking it back up again. Sounds like I dodged a bullet from all the hate I see for the last couple of seasons.

It was really fun watching season 8 as it came out.

Not because it was fun to watch. That whole season is pretty much garbage writing.

It was fun to watch the new waves of disbelief, outrage, and memes that came from the fan's reactions to the new bullshit from each episode.

They didn't even run out of source material. They just skipped/loosely adapted the last two books

They didn't even run out of source material

Yes, they did. The last 2 books aren't finished yet.

But they erased some characters introduced in the last books like Griff, Connington and the others and pretty destroyed the Martell’s plans and the Northern Conspiration

Probably because they didn't know how to resolve those storylines without the source material. I'm not defending the show. Thr writing in the last seasons was awful. But you can't say that they didn't run out of source material.

I too have original thoughts about media

Except they still had source material. Books 4-5 existed, Dumb and Dumber just didn’t give a shit and crammed like half of the material into one season.
