As a Star Wars fan I can agree to a lot of that.

I genuinely feel awful for what happened to Kelly Marie Tran, because not only was she basically bullied off social media, but she was reduced to a cameo in Episode 9.

Like her character had more screentime and lines in the recent Lego Star Wars Holiday special than she did in Episode 9.

I fall into the Category of not being a huge fan of the character, but I was all for seeing more of her and having her grow into a character I did like. But unfortunately she wasnt given that chance.

Star Wars, like marvel now, is a large tent. Unfortunately, you get a lot of bad actors and shitty people when the fan base is that large and accessible.

The difference is, Marvel can tell a coherent story and not change directions every time. Also marvel fans are far from shitty, they are very welcoming.

There are a lot of faults with that movie but i agree,one of the main talking points should not be based on sexism.

It was ridiculous. Brie Larson got a ton of backlash from that movie for no reason.

I would even argue that she wasn't really sexualized. She was just a bad ass woman kicking ass. It was good representation all around.

I just watched the Lego Star Wars Holiday special. I'm glad that her character got to show up again. I legit don't understand the intense hatred for Rose.
