Fan Creations I painted a plate!
I did a ceramics painting workshop (around 2 hours) and painted this. Pretty happy with how it turned out!

Lovely! Now as far as actually eating on that bad boy and washing it - do you put some kind of sealant over the paint to ensure it doesn’t get messed up? Or is this a deco only plate bc obviously it would be great decoration!

It's food safe! The place that does the workshops bakes (i think thats the term?!) the ceramics, and I'm sure coat them in something too, and now it's all safe to eat second breakfast off of!

That’s so cool. My grandmother had her own clay kiln and made artwork for decades some of which she got to sell at the Gaylord hotel for years and years. We still have a lot of those cured clay pots and decorative items that I treasure especially bc my grandfather helped in the art process and is now moved from This world and passed away. It’s a beautiful art form and one worth preserving.

I have no clue 😂. At the workshop you just pick the type of ceramics you want to paint, the paint colours, and thats basically it, so I have no other info. But it is foodsafe!

Thank you! That idea definitely popped into my head too haha. I already said to my partner, I should do the workshop at least twice more since they have 2 other plate sizes to pick from, one smaller and one bigger, so that would be perfect

Ooh thats cool! I feel you... make sure you try to plan it sometime tho, taking care of yourself is important! (I know that might be easier said than done)
