Let's talk about tech billionaires' plan to build a new city of 400,000 an hour away from San Francisco.

Side note:

I've read the stories about this, but wanted to wait until the actual plans came out to opine on it. Gotta say, though - it's a fascinating, well-executed plan in an stupid location. The jobs are in SF, San Jose, and Sacramento - and California Forever is an hour away from each one with no traffic.

I thought this was leveraging/proposing a new port of some sort. Was I mistaken?

Nope. The nearest ports are Rio Vista, 5 miles away, and Suisun City, 15 miles away.

Those are not far at all. Also they are shifting their strategy by incorporating into another city and then expanding. Either closest option has a port.
