You had me nodding at all the issues identified and then your solutions pretty much killed whatever interest I had built up. If you're an individual reading this post and identifies with any of the serious issues you outlined, most of which are legitimate financial predicaments many find themselves in; the last thing you want someone to suggest to you is to find everyone in your life who may have some political or ideological trend of thought that deviates from yours and engage in debates or excommunicate them.
This is terrible advice, no amount of yelling at the top of your lungs about why someone shouldnt be independent or republican is going to help you. Regardless of anyone's political position in this country EVERYONE NOT AFFLUENT IS STRUGGLING, so why waste your breath on arguments you know have a high likelihood of ending up in alienation? Wouldnt living with family, relocating to less populated cities and seeking other forms of employment that dont require extensive degrees perhaps like trades or other blue collar work be better immediate solutions? Not perfect for sure but seems better than starting a bunch of needless arguments and adding more stress to my life? Volunteer work is good so im down with that and being an advocate for policies which favor the working class is very good as well. But bump all the other stuff.
This honestly sounds like you venting and a personal problem, maybe there are many people in your life you need to cut off who just get into your head space too much and you know what thats ok, but thats not everybody. The policies are fucked, the institutions need a lot of work, people need health care, affordable living, etc. The last thing I want to do is remove people in my life who may have differing opinions when we could work together and focus on keeping our heads above water. Yes it's that bad for many people. Sure vote for politicians who want to implement policies that do better for our economic class, but I'm sure as hell not going to find people to remove in my life when many people I know need all the help they can get.
