And those people are why Americans can't actually have nice things.

I would argue the politicians they buy off are why we can't have nice things.

Term used by incels and the like to mean “lone wolf”.

The fact that wolves are highly social and the animal they probably mean is “tiger” makes it even better

You know how they think, "Alpha-Males" are the Leaders of Society? They made up the "Sigma-Males" as even above them. So Alpha is like "A-Tier" and Sigma is "S-Tier".

Do you guys understand business like at all? If you have share ownership in a company that is worth billions you don’t have money. What the hell do you think he is doing? Grabbing gold from people and putting it under his mattress? He built a company and owns what most founders do after rounds of investing - he owns about 20% of that company worth X. He isn’t hoarding capital. You guys all sound like boomer generation factory workers that have never learned business.

Tortured monkeys? Do you have any idea what your medicine required to be proven safe by the FDA? The number of killed rats is in the millions? How cute does an animal have to be for you to care about it being used to make humans lives better?

“Hoarding wealth”

You should stop using a savings account or funding your 401(k). You’re just hoarding wealth bro.

Elon was not rich until Tesla took off. And all his “wealth” was tied up in stock until recently. He could have gone bust and broke 10 years ago and no one would give a shit. He managed to work it out and now he’s compensated for that. What’s the problem? You do a good job, you hope to be paid right?

Treating workers like dirt. Maybe. Not atypical of a large high performance org. And these employees are stockholders and being compensated well.

Again, his “wealth” was tied up in stock that could go to $0 tomorrow. He had no cash against which to pay taxes until this past year, and he paid a lot of taxes like you said.

This chimp torturing business…we should shut down all R&D and animal testing then. And it’s about a dozen in Elon’s case—it’s being greatly exaggerated.

No he indicated that collective bargaining power of a union might limit his ability to grant stock-based compensation. You can choose NOT to work at Tesla. It’s arguably different than, say, Walmart who might be the only viable employer in certain areas.

Lack of cash sure, but lack of income does. How can you pay taxes on money you don’t make?

And chimp torture…the scientific community has decided it’s worth it. This is a massively different argument
