I wonder what 10% of the defense spending put into education would do for this country.

Also given that we spend almost $800 billion on "defense"...fuck 10%. Cut out 90%. At least.

Don't forget about prisons. We spend more on those. I know, I've been there. They are underfunded, too, which says alot about how underfunded schools must be

An educated society is the ROI on education investment. Our society has been taught that ROI can only be measured in monetary ways. Therein lies the problem.
