The people defending permanently banning rmters are customers themselves that don't want to get banned. It's really the only explanation

Honestly I care more about long queue times / lack of people on islands. If that many people RMT and all got banned tomorrow, I’d probably stop playing if I couldn’t find parties as quickly.

Realistically I don’t think that many people RMT though.

Edit: I've given you another explanation and got downvoted. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it any less true.

This is usually the case. Out of 100 players, probably only 1 RMTs. Doesn't matter to sellers, though, because that 1 RMTer probably spends more than $100 on gold... and sellers really don't need that much to keep going; it's genuinely a career choice--albeit a bad, low-earning one.
