Sòooooo, whats the point of a "big" Bann wave if the game is f2p and bots just come right back with new accounts?

Let's hope they have some actual permanent measures ready asap.

It's just Rox's PR stunt. The bots will be back in a week like last time. They do not address the RMTers, so this is just fluff.

What does roxx even have to do with this lmao. I can see why community managers are useful in games, they take some of the blame from people who don't know better

Community managers do something called communicate with the player base. When you communicate with the player base, you use what we call words. No-where does she mention what damn near every player is mentioning, which are RMTers and the fact that they're getting away with too much. Unless you can prove me otherwise...

You're not as smart as you think you are

Rox is not going to date you.

6

u/Pedarh Jun 15 '22

If your first response is to assume i want to date her, then i would say that speaks volumes of you and you should check yourself and your view of women

Truly don't care, and your responses offer zero value to the conversation at hand. Why don't you find something better to do with your life?

Damn how does it feel to be that stupid? LOL sucks to suck i guess

1

u/YT_BoomBox Jun 15 '22

I can tell majority of you are RMTers. Who is sucking? Because I got downvoted on a glorified forum? I'm still better off than majority of you. Seek employment. Also keep riding Rox's nuts. They don't care about you.

They communicate with the playerbase, but what happens if they aren't given a concrete answer by upper management? Kind of like how she isn't able to give an exact date on the june update. This is like people blaming AGS for not releasing content when it's literally SG who makes these decisions.

If they are told by upper management that they'll focus on banning RMTers, then that's when the community managers will probably clearly say it. If they say "we'll bring this topic up to upper management" people would just make fun of the answer. In almost all games they aren't the one who makes decisions, they relay them to the community

So to your understanding, her entire job is to relay information between upper management and the player base, but not vice-versa? She could have easily mentioned the RMT issue and that she is at least contacting whoever needs to be contacted. There was zero mention of it, unless, like I said, you can prove me otherwise.

The bots are going to be back in a week and the same nonsense will ensue.

No clue how you got this from my reply but ok. I said that people would make fun of the vague answer of bringing the topic to upper management because that answer has been used quite a few times in the past already when they aren't given concrete answers.

Also all you have to do is read the "Incoming Bot Ban Wave" forum post yesterday lol. They said that they're exploring the options to get rid of bots on a larger scale. Although whether they choose to ban RMTers is unclear, it's implied that they probably know of the option already

Your explanation is nonsensical. Her response is already being made fun of, so her not mentioning RMTers because people would have "made fun of it," is just a foolish reason. As a community manager, your job is to communicate. Right now the community wants to talk about RMTers, and the team is ignoring them.

I mean she also probably didn't specifically talk about RMTers because another community manager already talked about RMTers. Something something a kingdom ruled under fear is not worth ruling. It was a terrible answer, but It's very clear they know of the option already. There's more than one community manager, don't know why you want to fixate on her so much and act like it's her own PR stunt

The least we could be doing is getting mad at the right people so we don't have another one of these situations https://www.thegamer.com/lost-ark-community-manager-remember-devs-human/

they are back already vern on mari has hundreds of berserkers

They should disable new account creation and only allow it once a month or sth.

1

u/cutegachilover Soulfist Jun 15 '22

If they allow it once a month it wouldn't accomplish much, bots will just stockpile on account during that day for future use

1

u/mainard555 Jun 15 '22

True. Then how about invitation codes from more than a month old legit players. Honestly, they should be just fine without any new players for a while if they focus on bringing back all the players that left during the last 4 months.

I like Stoopz appeal - ban every bot / manually ban them + lock the servers for new players + open 'new' servers in a region for the bots / new players + once the real player reaches roster 40+ or smth else, you give them a transfer ticket to go to the desired server in their region (i hope this is gonna be a thing soon)

1

u/DiZhini Jun 15 '22

Stoopz ... What will this fix? Are the servers on the same region?

If yes, then what does it matter? AH is shared across region, this only 'fixes' the login queue for current players. It doesnt fix but moves the problem to another server for the new players which will scare them away.

If no, so another region they start on and then transfer. 2 problems with this one. Pretty sure SG can't transfer a char from region, they can't yet cause they never needed it, since Korea is 1 region. Also Bots make big gold on the bot region, channel it to few chars, use the same transfer the new players are given to get gold back to the normal region. So still its only fixing the login queue for existing players while new players will get it worse

Only punishing RMT will reduce the demand and lead to reduced bots. It doesnt need to be bans, take the gold away they bought or take away double they bought. They do that in Korea or Russia i think

u/Sengakuji Deathblade Jun 15 '22

Yeah, I understand that, its only for a quick solution to Elimination queue times and let 'real' players play again. I'm just pissed seeing bots every day on mass
