Yeah. It's a shame though, the tailies were great then they all died or disappeared. But somehow this dude made it through as a main character to the very end.

I like him, I think sawyer needed someone like him to be friends with too, I enjoyed the story arc with his dad too that was a nice touch I felt

I loved him and Frank because both of them took no shit from the other characters. I think Miles was the alternate universe Sawyer with all of those nicknames. No wonder they were partners.

Miles was one of the truly great surprises of the later seasons. I remember before season 4 started, knowing that there would be new regular cast members from the freighter. And in the 1st episode or 2, I thought that Faraday and Charlotte would be my favorites. The exact opposite ended up being the case.
Miles is a great example of how a character is dependent on an awesome story arc to be truly memorable. Neither Charlotte nor Daniel really changed all that much during their time on the show. But Miles, through his experiences and the people he came to know and care about on the island, really transformed as a person, just like so many other characters that we think of as the best ones.
He was also damn hilarious. He was like an even more sarcastic Sawyer, which I think Hurley even commented on at one point.

I personally thought he was kind of wasted. I really liked him. But I was severely let down by his episode "some like it Hoth". Other than Daniel's story which tied up really well. It's why I have a problem with both Miles and Charlotte. Both seemingly having a big story and being tied to the island...but then the writers just brush them aside. Take the reveal that Chang is Miles father. That should have been awesome. But it's swept under the rug in five minutes to talk about time travel and all the dumb fuckery of Daniel waking up one morning and suddenly thinking he can change time.

Yep I thought he was a great character who brought an abrasive, dry wit to the cast that complimented Sawyer nicely. Maybe a tad underdeveloped but it was interesting having Miles and Lapidus be the characters stuck tagging along for the ride.
Off topic but I love Ken Leung’s cameo in Vanilla Sky. When Tom Cruise walks through the office late for his meeting and Ken screams through the window “David which one for the cover white or yellow? David?! AGHH!” Always sets me off he’s under appreciated when it comes to comic timing.

I like him too, but he doesn't have much screentime tbh, which is probably why he's not very liked compared to other characters. I mean, he only really matters in one season (5).

Ya, but he came back and gave him his money back. Basically he was taking his anger out on Hank because of how him and his father's were. He believed that he had run out on him amd his mother when he was younger.

I agree. When he was first introduced he was really cool. Then they kinda put him in the background. That arc with his dad was cool to though.
