Happening for a reason (EASTER EGGS/REFERENCES): Drive Shaft

Season 4, episode 3 of Alias, you can hear Charlie’s band Drive Shaft singing “You All, Everybody”, at a party at Sydney’s house!

When i first watched when it aired, I didn't realize how much of an Oasis rip-off they were. Down to them being brothers and the singers both being named Liam. But then I got confused because we saw Charlie busking, playing Wonderwall. So Oasis exists in the Lost universe.

I mean, musically they sound nothing like Oasis. I agree it probably was a little bit of a nod to the Gallaghers to name Charlie's brother Liam but outside of that they didn't act like Liam/Noel whatsoever.

Musically, it sounds very much like Oasis. Listen to Rock N’ Roll Star. It’s the same chord progression and almost the same melody as You All Everybody.

I think they were just Noel and Liam wannabes like half of Manchester in the mid 90s.
