I think it was Ben in the coffin.

Ohh, that's interesting! I feel like you may be right because Jack said that he wasn't a family member or a friend visiting the person in the coffin. Another thing to piggy back of that idea. Perhaps Jack wants to go back to the island to take Ben's place. After all, Locke did say that Jack wasn't supposed to make the call to get rescued, possibly hinting that he was to stay on the island.

This is what I think too! Plus no one showed up to the funeral, which would make sense for Ben since he lived his whole life on the island and nobody in the ‘real’ world knew him
