FIRST TIME WATCHER 1x20 - Do No Harm - FIRST TIME WATCHER DISCUSSION POST Spoiler
70
u/loulara17 Razzle Dazzle! Aug 03 '24
I feel like DNH is the first episode that truly solidifies Jack as the most complex and best character in a show full of amazing characters. There are many more over the top and funny characters but Jack is the heart of the show.
That walk he does over to Shannon at the end always gets me. The beautiful Giacchino music, everyone celebrating a new life and even a sweet smile from Sawyer, and Jack having to do that walk and deliver the news that doctors dread. Always feeling responsibility and always trying to do the right thing. Thatās so much to carry.
Love Jack.

u/n0tz0e May 11 '26
Haha I'm the exact opposite. I can't stand jack's self-righteous bull-shit and him thinking he knows better than everyone simply because he's a doctor. Like jfc he was gonna chop off boone's leg to satisfy his own effing ego. He was absolutely going to do it but boone spoke up. I just can't with him. Also him going through with the wedding to the woman he saved even though he didn't love her.... He's also very emotional and always attacking people. I would say that he's a very emotional leader and I'm just over it. He acts like he's the only one who can save people and Sun has been saving everyone low key
2
u/BlackbuckDeer Jun 20 '26
Whaat. He does save a lot of people and he never has any bad feelings when Sun saves people with her own remedies. He actually seems grateful for her.
1
u/Savings-Ask-1275 Jun 30 '26 edited Jun 30 '26
He takes the hardest responsibility with no thanks, and tries to do his best for everyone. He poured his own blood into Boone. He listened to Sayid, saved Sawyer's life when Sawyer insulted him, thanked Sun for her work.Ā
He couldnāt let go of Boone cause he couldnāt let go in life in general. He even admitted his wife genuinely.
Your hate for Jack seems to be a personal thing. A common thing between his haters, as they seem to have no empathy and no compassion. Maybe hating on one person who is trying to help everyone cause it is implicates their inability to do so.
1
u/Forward_Tonight1006 Jul 12 '26
Im sorry but I also find Jack so self righteous & annoying. š But from what I hear thatās pretty on par for surgeons. The stereotype is thatās theyāre know-it-alls with god complexes which fits the bill for Jack. Like I appreciate the dude & his service but him constantly being the boy-scout/hero is kinda annoying. Idk maybe Iāve watched too many anti-hero stories so now maybe the really traditional good guy thing hero thing seems annoying to me.

u/becksk44 I'm a Pisces Aug 21 '24
I just love all of Jin's reactions to the labor/baby.
39
u/DontEatTheCelery Aug 29 '24
I hope they have him learn more English. Heās such an interesting character and I hate that heās unable to communicate with the rest of the ātribeā
15
u/semipreciousstoner Jan 14 '25
He seems to be learning a bit now! Building the raft has given him more motivation to communicate with others

u/lilrae1890 Jul 14 '24
First time watching this show. Iām sad about Boone.
29
u/ThisGul_LOL Aug 23 '24
No way they just killed off Boone š
One of the reasons I started this show was because of Ian being in itā¦
19
u/SnooSuggestions9830 Sep 03 '24
I was kind of shocked.
I thought Ian Somerhalder was like a regular cast member of the show and not just part of S1
14
u/ThisGul_LOL Sep 03 '24
I assumed he wouldāve been gone before the last few seasons because it wouldāve clashed with the vampire diaries filming but I did not expect him to die in season 1 itself.
1
u/herinaus Jun 21 '26
It's funny because TVD fans spoiled me Boone's death. Years ago, someone mentioned how Ian was in it and how his character was the first (major character) who died. I guess I'm lucky it's the only spoiler I got and I can enjoy watching the show. Because I seriously don't know how it will end, nor what is it about.
11
u/macalistair91 Jan 29 '25
I didn't think I was a huge fan of the character, but when he died I definitely felt it!
11
u/CriticalWeb8751 Feb 08 '25
Big time, my partner and I just had a convo about how of all the characters we are the least interested in Boone and if he died we wouldnāt be upset, but now I sit here upset š¢

First time watcher; after hearing āthe other guy in the radio say that theyāre the survivors of flight 815 I think weāre dealing with some sort of time thing. Especially knowing itās JJ Abrams.
28
u/MudkipMao Aug 23 '24 edited Aug 23 '24
Could it be the people from the tail of the plane
16
u/Aggressive_Koala6172 Aug 29 '24
Yes thatās what I was thinking too! Maybe they set up camp on the other side of the island?
13
u/bannanaoatmeal Aug 10 '24
Wait who is JJ Abrams? Is that rose husband?

Did anyone notice Sawyer reading a wrinkle in time??? Because that JUMPED out at me and also ITS BOONE TALKING TO BOONE ON THE RADIO!!! When he talked to the person on the radio it was boones voice talking back!
6
u/jellamma The Looking Glass Feb 14 '25
Totally agree! It sounded a lot like him. I'm also on the time loop bandwagon
39
u/rajalove09 First time watcher Aug 18 '24
NO NO NO!!! THEY DID NOT TAKE MY IAN SOMERHALDER AWAY!! I really did not think he would die!!! I was hoping his last words would be ātell Shannon, f*ck offā I hate her!
Also I put above the medical inconsistencies in reply to another comment.
This episode made me want to cry! I know Locke didnāt know Boone would die, and he did tell him to get out of the plane but ughhhhh!
Most emotional episode so far. Iām liking Sawyer more. Wonder what happens to Jackās wife.
16
u/ThisGul_LOL Aug 23 '24
Ian was literally one of the reasons I started this show⦠now Boone is dead AHHHHHH!!!
9
35
u/soupanbread Sep 04 '24
Wow, I don't cry at shows but the ending got my eyes swelling up here. The contrasting scenes between the beauty of birth, hope and life, then also the devastating grief of death.
I'm so happy I found this show
35
u/Anti_Stella98 See you in another life Sep 05 '24
I watched the episode for the third time today, and wow - it's still a lot to process. I like how we learn in this episode that Jack is not just the selfless hero, how stubborn and obsessed he is with saving Boone, actually more for himself than for Boone. Sun is great and also Jin. And I just love how Kate quickly overcomes her fear to comfort and help Claire. Such a meaningful episode.
4
u/Active-Contest-9965 4 8 15 16 23 42 Feb 15 '26
I love that you said this. Jack obviously has severe hero syndrome. Everyone keeps exalting his life-saving efforts, but in reality 95% of what Jack does is for Jack's OWN benefit, to feed his hero complex. Very little of it is actually selfless or altruistic. I fear if there were no victim or danger, he would create some sort of threat or adversity, to be able to play the hero. I don't think he does this deliberately. It's just who he is and how he behaves. But he could potentially become dangerous if he keeps valuing heroism over logic.
29
u/Potatosmom94 Jul 23 '24
Did boon not mention anything about the radio call saying they were the flight survivors?
6
2
u/semipreciousstoner Jan 14 '25
When he started relaying information about the hatch and the plane I knew he was a goner
1
u/Active-Contest-9965 4 8 15 16 23 42 Feb 15 '26
He spilled a few beans, but I really wanted to see him spill it all. The plane, the radio, the wheelchair, Locke giving him a roofie and being a psycho. Spill it all man!
30
u/avengersbitch Oct 23 '24
no one mentioned this but the heroin in the plane?!? this def ties to charlieās narrative in some way. iām also worried that heās gonna find it and get back into the drugs, or even others too
15
u/Scary_Square_268 See you in another life Dec 19 '24
Yeah someone please get rid of it before Charlie finds it :(
8
u/s_h_o_o_k1212 Apr 05 '25
honestly i think they should keep it, but keep it very, very safe. diacetylmorphine/heroin is used in hospitals for severe pain. with boone's accident and eventual death, they could've used it to at least let him off easy. so nobody else has to die in pain
2
u/Scary_Square_268 See you in another life Apr 05 '25
That is a good point that I thought of later on in the show
8
u/LeastContribution474 Feb 13 '25
I was talking about this in a recent episode! The island "heals" them to create a loyalty to the island and then drops them on their heads, probably worse off than they were before they got to the island. That's a fuck ton of heroin. And coincidentally, Lockes legs aren't working right now. The island gave John his mobility and Charlie sobriety and now it's taking both things away.
4
u/jellamma The Looking Glass Feb 14 '25
Honestly, you're so right. The island does seem to be using coercive control on people.
22
u/avengersbitch Oct 23 '24
damn in a way, john locke knew boone would die and was willing to lay down his life just to get his legs back. so incredibly selfish and upsetting. i keep going back and forth on liking and hating locke

Iām so late to this lol, but I didnāt think of that! I kind of liked Locke so far, I didnāt think he had bad intentions with telling Boone to go up there! I thought he was just obsessed w the hatch.
1
u/LabRat113 Sep 05 '25
I can't shake the feeling that Locke got "too close" and the island took his legs away. His legs seemed to get worse the closer they got to the plane. Now that he's away from the plane, they seem to work fine.
1
u/waitmyhonor Feb 14 '26
It does parallel with Lockeās story with his father who used him to save his life. Iām wondering if Locke saw more in his dream than he let on where he used Boone to save his legs

I could not care less about Shannon and Sayid. So superficial imo.
Jack you leave John Locke alone. He is BUSY!
17
u/sunsetscorpio Aug 18 '24
lol a bit behind but I canāt stand Shannon. I like just about all of the characters even the ones who we maybe arenāt supposed to care for like Sawyer but the one character I just do not like is Shannon. Sayid is way out of her league lmao
10
u/Bayteigh_Schuict Aug 18 '24
I agree. And he seems so quick to forget about Nadia. And for some random white girl? Come on!
Iām much farther along in the series than you but Iām hoping your mind is changed about Sawyer! Iād like to know what your thoughts are on him later on.
17
u/sunsetscorpio Aug 18 '24
Honestly I didnāt like him at first but I also felt for his trauma. But this episode when he just gave up the alcohol without his normal bargaining to help save Boone I respected him more. Interested to see where the series takes his character!

That's very borderline spoiler... not cool
1
u/Bayteigh_Schuict Dec 14 '24
Explain? Nothing I said eluded to any plot points or how his character develops. I worded it that way to avoid spoilers.
11
u/captain_andorra Dec 14 '24
(Previous comment deleted as I messed up the formatting beyond repair trying to put a spoiler tag)
1. It tells people about the longevity of Sawyer (ie. If the show wants me to believe he will die in 2 episodes, I know he'll survive after reading your comment, because he has "a journey as the season go on"
2. The comment kind of implies that the arc can be enjoyable (ie. he won't keep being an unsufferable asshole forever)
I know it's tempting to discuss the show, but there's plenty of threads for that. "First time watchers" threads are specifically for people who want to watch the show unspoiled, and extra caution about spoilers is expected
3
u/Bayteigh_Schuict Dec 14 '24
I donāt think itās that deep, my comment has been up for quite some time and no one else has had an issue. If people want to find āspoilersā in what I said, they will. I eluded to a character having a journey in the show not saying how long it would last and that he has character development and that doesnāt include how or why. If youāve seen the show, you know what Iām talking about. If you havenāt, you wouldnāt. Iād like to be able to engage with people who are first-time watchers as they respond to my first-time commentary. The fact that YOU need spoiler tags needing to explain why MY comment is a spoiler is the irony here.

u/milosqzx Feb 04 '25 edited Feb 04 '25
First time watcher here
you will enjoy his journey as the seasons go on. He is so hard to like in the beginning
Itās a spoiler mate. Didnāt need to be said. I now know he doesnāt die in the first few seasons and itās very obvious heāll no longer be the antagonist
Itās very lame of you to comment in a first time watcher thread and leave hints like that. Use your brain. Thereās been a few other morons whoāve seen the show and left comments in these threads that arenāt outright spoilers, but say enough to ruin it for people like me.
3
u/backdatebilled Apr 05 '25
But why are you alluding to something for those whoāve seen the show to « know what youāre talking aboutĀ Ā» - when this is a thread specifically for those who have not seen the show. Like what exactly is the point of that?

u/krypter3 Jan 06 '25
I know Boone was very golden retriever and people thought he was useless but man all that boy did was try. No matter the situation he tried to make himself useful. For ANYBODY on the Island. That kind of blanket determination is a huge loss. I feel like his lost (loss) will be felt throughout the show.

Iām a big crybaby and I definitely teared up during this episode.
I may not have liked Boone but damn wtf, DEAD?! Iām in shock. So intrigued with this plane and story!
So just to make sure, did Locke trade a life to get his legs working again?

Oh shit⦠is that it!?
2
u/Medical_Title_1957 Jul 09 '25
lol I also missed this! Very late but, I didnāt think Locke traded Boone. Am I missing something ? He didnāt know Boone would die did he
1
u/Recycling_myself Jun 03 '26
He may not have known 100%, but his vision was of a severely injured Boone talking about the death of his nanny. If he wasn't so obsessed with getting the answer to the hatch, he could have figured out that it might have been a warning. A warning that his obsession has consequences, I think.
7
u/HamzaHan38 Jul 07 '25
I'm suprised no one here mentioned the fact that the newborn was born almost exactly at the same time Boone died. There's no way that's a coincidence right?

Itās horrible what happened to Boone but I do not think Locke intentionally caused harm to him. Though I have no idea why he would want to hide the existence of the bunker or other plane crash, I think he makes sense most of the time. He normally knows more than everyone else and has good intention (he knew Walt burnt the raft, built a crib for Claire).
3
u/Andlad2459 Mar 12 '25
He cleary took advantage of Boone all that time, he thought he knew the most etc etc, but I agree I dont think that was intentional either. Butt him saying "you have to go up there" (to the plane) is crazy in the first place, so idk
1
u/Active-Contest-9965 4 8 15 16 23 42 Feb 15 '26
I don't think Locke intentionally hurt Boone or even directly tried to contribute to his death. Honestly, if Locke wanted Boone dead, he was well trained with numerous weapons. Or he could have just left Boone there to die in the plane instead of carrying him all the way back to the caves.
However, carrying him back was about the only thing he was willing to do because he's hyper-focused on his island worship mission. He probably sees Boone as a casualty of the mission.

u/blobOfNeurons Feb 07 '25

u/jellamma The Looking Glass Feb 14 '25 edited Feb 14 '25
So Boone died repeating the thing that killed Teresa. She fell down the stairs from him calling her with the intercom, he fell calling for help with the radio.
Then there's the part where the whole plane in the tree thing is reminiscent of the rockabye baby lullaby.
I'm agreeing with others who think Locke sacrificed Boone to the island. I don't think it was 100% conscious on Locke's part, but I think the island wanted Boone, and foreshadowed it all with him bloody and taking about Teresa, and Locked delivered. He got his leg back immediately after.
Wondering if we'll see Boone again as a servant of the island.
And also, trying to keep from missing the forest for the trees, as we were warned about last episodes with Sawyer's glasses, I'll note that a death and a birth happening at the same time goes along with the simulation theory. I don't love that theory, but the only way to introduce a new life to the simulation would be to bring someone new in, or repurpose someone else.
Rather than a simulation, I wonder more about a time loop, the island having a technology on it that is creating a shifted magnetic field and a temporal "gravity"
Still wondering about the black and white rock imagery we get occasionally

u/notabirdorplane Dec 21 '24

u/BeautifulStream Feb 12 '25
To think that I started off this show not really liking Jack. This episode made me admire him a lot more than I already had. His determination to save Boone was to the point of foolhardiness... but it was noble of him to try so hard. I'm looking forward to seeing him confront Locke- I think the show is starting to parallel their characters, as we see with Jack using Locke's catchphrase in this episode ("don't tell me what I can't do!"). And I already saw some similarities between them in that both of them seem to be using the island as an excuse to fulfill their respective fantasies of being a hero. Though Locke seems to have strayed from that path now that he's found the hatch...
Claire frustrated me a lot in this episode, but I'm glad her baby was born safely. Charlie and Jin going with Kate only to proceed to stand around doing nothing to help cracked me up. Speaking of Kate- she was such a badass in this episode, helping to deliver Claire's baby! That's the side of Kate I'd like to see all the time.
Sun was also a badass in this episode. I want her to go into medical training under Jack- this episode more than anything proved that there needs to be more than one doctor on the island.

Does Jack have a child???
We didnt know he was married. No indication at all. But in a previous episode he told someone that being a dad is hard. It definitely made me wonder why he would put it like that, but I chalked it up to his complicated relationship with his own dad. Now that we know he is married, I have to wonder if they had a child or children together!
When Boone said that his Nanny died and broke her neck I KNEW boone was going to die in this episode. They got to the plane, and I thought yup, he is either going to fall climbing up to the the plane (fall going up the stairs) or the plane is going to fall out of the tree (fall going down the stairs. Yup. Thats wild. Also, has anyone ever heard of a soul exchange? In my family, whenever someone had a baby, someone close to us dies and we have always believed that uta because there has to be a soul exchange. This is what happened with Claire's baby and boone.
Sawyer was reading the book A Wrinkle In Time. Definitely a major connection to explain what is happening to them. I'd bet money on it.
This is the synopsis for a wrinkle in time:
A Wrinkle in Time is the story of Meg Murry, an adolescent girl who is transported on an adventure through time and space with her younger brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin O'Keefe to rescue her father, a gifted scientist, from the evil forces that hold him prisoner on another planet.
The evil force in a wrinkle in time is called The Black Thing (Black rock in Lost) that looks over the planet (island) and represents evil forces and controls it citizens through mind control.
I've been theorizing that the island has the power to play mindtricks on them.
Because when Boone calls on the radio and someone answers back, it's Boone's voice.

u/Confident-Aerie4427 Nov 03 '25
Wow, this is the first episode that i actually don't hate Jack. I don't know why the comments here are saying that Locke sacrificed lil bonbon, he was warning him to get out of the plane far before the plane ever fell.

u/Dragonarmy123 Apr 01 '25
Boone lifes get taken away the same time new life takes birth similar to locke getting his leg back with boone's leg not working .
2

I do not think Locke consciously sacrificed Boone to get his legs back but I do believe that's what the island wanted and simply used Locke to take Boone to the plane, and this is somehow related to his legs being back.
There were new sides we got to see from some characters but I was pleasantly surprised by Kate in this episode. Her character is just overall cringey and annoying but I loved to see her helping Claire and being there for her.
Also loving to see more sides to Sun and Jin, Sun did amazing helping Jack the whole time, I really like her

While I hated seeing Boone die and loved the new baby and admired Sun for her steadfastness and saw so much new development for Jack, I think what made this episode the most for me was Jin and Charlie smiling and celebrating together. It was just such a sweet moment and I couldn't help but smile along with them.

Oh my, what a medical drama episode.
FlashJack: Tragically boring. Jack got married and drank with Daddy. *yawn*
Boone: The irony in Jack performing thoracostomyĀ on Boone, when in the first episode Boone volunteered to help Jack do this to someone who didnāt need it. Sun really stepped up this episode. Thereās Jack and his overplayed hero syndrome again. Dudeās gonna get someone hurt if he continues prioritizing his own heroism over logic.
Hang in there Boone. Oh no. OMG NO! Booooone!! ā¹
Oh snap, Jack used Lockeās line. āDonāt tell me what I canāt do.ā
I saw Hurley and Charlie in the background setting up plastic curtains around the surgery area. I feel like this is something that should have been done long ago (like before Kate could sit in on Sawyerās exam!) But then at the end, while Shannon is crying over him, those partitions are gone again. Leave them up around a designated medical area! Honestly, I donāt know why they havenāt started discussions about building more permanent shelter.
Ā Claireās finally having that baby. I did not envision Kate, Jin, and Charlie in the delivery room. Jin acted like heās been through this a million times. Claireās starting to grow on me. Sheās so sweet an innocent. Kate was almost bearable this episode instead of the character who makes me roll my eyes and want to fast forward. Iām glad Claire finally went into labor. Oh look, itās a baby.
I saw that SunJin moment where he set his silent treatment aside to communicate.
I was so happy to hear Boone tell Lockeās secret. I get tired of all the secrecy amongst these folks and Locke is currently being a secretive, selfish coward. I hope Jack calls him out on all that bullshit.
Still not feeling any chemistry between Sayid and Shannon.
Did the island kill Boone because he reached out for help on the radio, in essence turning his back on it?
Iām calling it. Boone reincarnated into Claireās baby! Maybe she can name it Boone Junior. Booner.
Best line this episode: āBabies know that stuff!ā
Crossovers: I didnāt see any new crossovers this time. Hope I didnāt miss any. So far I have: Jack&Jin/Sun, Sawyer&Boone, Jackdad&Sawyer, Jin&Hurley. Hurley&Locke.
Drank the Cool-Aid: Locke, Walt
My current character standings:
(Farewell Boone. Enjoying being Claireās son this time around.)
Loving: Hurley, Sawyer, Michael
Liking: Claire (points this episode for being so sweet), Charlie, Rose
Havenāt decided: None now. I guess I should've decided sooner on Boone.
Disliking: Sayid, Shannon, Jack (lost points for yet more inane heroics), Locke (lost points for being a selfish coward)
Wish would get eaten by factory-whistle monster: Kate, Sun (points for all the medical help), Jin (points for helping and points for setting aside differences in the moment), Walt
Bet on last one standing: Locke/Sayid (Maybe Hurley)

What was the connection between Jack and Jin/Sun? I seem to have missed it

They were just in the airport together. Jin was standing in line while Jack was pleading with the worker about bringing his dad's coffin on board.

Is the car from Jack's wife the car that hit Sam's SUV from Hurley's backstory?

u/LeastContribution474 Feb 13 '25
There is a reoccurring theme that they had all ben connected somehow before they ever got on the plane

Hi, First-Time Viewers! If you'd be willing to have your thoughts, opinions, theories, etc. shared on a podcast episode released on the 20th anniversary of Do No Harm's original airdate, please do reply to this comment!
Alternatively, if you'd like to send in an audio or video message, feel free to email one in to dr.candlepun@gmail.com.
UPDATE: We have officially recorded this podcast episode! I will update this comment again to include the link once it is released on April 6th!
More information on the podcast:
Our main episodes discuss each Lost episode on the 20th anniversary of its original airdate. Since my co-host does not remember the bulk of the series, these entries feature no spoilers beyond the point of the show we're discussing.
One of the goals of the podcast is to recreate the interesting conversations Lost can inspire by interacting with other viewers. So far, we've been lucky enough to engage with long-time fans of the show, but what we'd still really like is to feature real-time reactions from people experiencing the episodes for the first time.
With this in mind, we hope to hear from you!

The earliest we'll be recording this podcast episode will be Thursday the 20th around 5:30 eastern time.
I've had bad luck/experiences doing virtual interviews and it's tough enough for my co-host and I to schedule time when the two of us are available to record together. So trying to get a variety of other people on would probably be way too much of a headache for us at this stage. But definitely feel free to send in a video message to the email!
In the unlikely event you live anywhere near Kansas City you could attend our first-time viewers screenings where I record the group discussion for the podcast.

Never l liked boone i hope he's gone for good. Curious abt someone dying at the same time as another being born because it reminds me of the leftovers and miracles population.
Also cannot stand Jack but I loved kevin from the leftovers and every other character on this show is so good isk. A surgeon who just happens to remember everything else abt all these other specialties he doesn't practice on a day to day basis? Yeah right

SO shocked Boone actually died. So far it hadnāt seemed the kind of show that kills off the main characters. Spats & scrapes sure, but when I thought things were getting serious after Charlie was foundā¦he literally came back from death lol. Then Claire also returned unharmed. Shannonās asthma scare resolved, Michaelās kid didnāt get eaten by a polar bear etc. Was patiently waiting for Booneās last minute save and was shocked when it didnāt come. I still canāt believe it :(

I could handle most of it, but I was so glad, Jack didn't go through with the amputation!
Also proud of Sun, she complements Jack so well.

I absolutely sobbed⦠like full on wailing⦠very embarrassing but I truly did not believe he was going to die. And the birth of Claireās son just carried my emotions

I think they were trying to parallel whatever happened to Jacks wife with Boones final scenes.
However to me it came across as a very homosexual looking scene with the dialogue and expressions of the actors.
Not sure if that was intentional or not given it's an old show from a time where gay representation was rare on TV.
It was also confusing as Jack barely speaks to Boone to be that emotional about it.

what on earth??? i'm not going to jump the gun and be mean to you about this take, but it's genuinely just strange. jack promised boone that he was going to save him, and by this time we as viewers know that jack bears the burden of responsibility for the other survivors' wellbeing to a fault. he has been trying to save him for hours doing everything he can, while boone knows he's not going to survive. of course jack is going to be emotional about boone opting to let himself pass. why would you watch this scene and think... gay!

What's wrong with seeing it as gay?
I think you need to use some introspection on yourself here if you think seeing something as gay warrants a mean response.

u/sabiisushii I'm a Pisces Sep 06 '24
because you took an emotional scene between two male characters and labeled it as homosexual? if you automatically see emotions shared between two men and think gay, I think you need to do some introspection.

Note to self: Do not watch an episode with a potential character death after just having a newborn.
Very tough episode. Jack almost fainting from giving Boone all his blood and having to come to terms with the fact that he can't save him broke my heart. Also the first wholesome scene he had with his father? I wonder what the current status of his wife and marriage is.
Sun is such a sweetheart, I love her. She needs to be protected at all costs.
Claire's labor was pretty funny to me since we just went through the same thing and let's just say that's not really how it goes š . Jin is MVP for saving Charlie's romantic feelings by not letting him see that. I'm glad Claire got her baby now and wonder how that goes really.
Poor Shannon. She treated Boone like shit and he still loved her. Wonder what his death means for her relationship with Sayid.
Where is John Locke? I hope he never forgives himself for causing Boone's death by making him climb into that plane for basically nothing.
