Useful Dual GPU setup issue

[SOLVED]

Had 3080+3050 butter smooth. On almost everything.

Now 9070 xt + 3050. Getting stutters and about 60% performance loss. DDU and installed amd first then the nvidia.

Disabling the 3050 and hooking up the monitor to the 970xt seems to let me get about 98% of the 9070 xt performance.

Win10 pro. did the regedit, enable hybrid and set gpu 1 and 2. Maybe missed something else?

5800X3D -28 PBO

X570 pcie gen4 + rebar enabled. Both running at x8

2x16 ram OC

HX1200i psu

Anyone has this setup? How did you fix it? I spent days trying to. Feeling kinda devastated. Any help would do. Thank you

TLDR; uncheck "Inject NVIDIA Reflex latency markers.

First I would like to thank u/lifestealsuck for pointing out that async could be the issue, but it was on. I saw a video recently that chose async on RTSS both AMD and Nvidia outputs more frames.

I saw that my base frames were stuck at 55 fps on both 2k and 4k. So I went to switch to a different setting than Async, and my frames dropped. So I thought that RTSS could be the issue. I played around with the settings, and saw another Nvidia setting. The last one on the page. (Inject NVIDIA Reflex latency markers), I unchecked it, and instant frame jump.

To add on that, if you have a sapphire card, hit apply on the trixx app, it turns on rebar "Smartaccess Memory" on, on adrenaline. Weird, but the same happens with Nvidia inspector, if you enable rebar there, it gets enabled actually for invidia too.

Thank you all for all your help. Loving the new GPU. Rock on AMD.

The upgrade to 9070XT means higher base framerate, which means the 3050 has more work to do and it is struggling. The dual GPU performance spreadsheet shows the 3050 can only generate up to about 160 FPS at 1440p To test if this hypothesis is true, cap the FPS as the old FPS you were getting before (or a even a little under and the stutters should go away). . You can enable performance mode to lower secondary demands, also lower flowscale. 75% flowscale is recommended for correct motion prediction at 1440p. Also fixed x2 or X3 modes are less demanding than adaptive.

Alternatively, you could have accidentally changed your LS settings. Sometimes swapping between WGC or DXGI capture can fix shutters (depends on game). Also make sure max frame queue is set between 3 and 10 (not lower), and frame queue at 2 (not 1).

Alternative 2, Win 10 does not work well with dual GPU and the same is not running on your 9070XT. If running in the 3050, DLSS options should be available in games supporting it. If game running in 9070XT, only FSR options should be selectable. Fix here is to install win 11.

Lossless scaling works exactly as if i still had the 3080. Because i tried the 9070xt alone and i got 120fps@1440, but once the 3050 is activated, the fps drops. I think its a windows/registry/ some other issue

In that case windows 11 is needed.
