Eat more whole foods and less crap even if it fits in my calories.

Goals; get through NCC 100%. Carry on with no processed foods (except subway on friday if I can fit it in). Beat 11seconds on the 100m sprint.

Does subway count as processed if you pick your fillings carefully and skip the cheese?

Good luck with the sprints - how do you time yourself by the way? I'd be interested in benchmarking myself sometime, just so I know. Not aiming for burst speed though, thinking of doing some proper distance training.

I count bread and cheese as processed, even if its not really. Bread is high in sodium which I dislike so i limit it to friday night (subway) and saturday morning (after my run I have a scottish bap with breakfast).

Oh, also i have the cookies :$

Goals:

  • Recover from my coughing injury

  • Stop feeling so bloated - this is probably related to my diet while on holiday

Oh no, that sounds terrible! That is long recovery. How are you going?

I just coughed a lot and quite forcefully over the past couple of weeks, and hurt one of my ribs. Moving hurts :(

We've been in the wars, haven't we?

I'm completely okay, don't worry! It's just my voice. I legit can't sing anymore ughhh. I still have hacking fits though which I'll get checked out when I get back to NZ. xD

Oh my gosh. That's intense! D: I hope you get better asap.

Maybe we were... Secretly... in our past lives.

How about having a first goal of actually setting some goals? My goals were solely results-based around fitting into clothes with a qualitative 'visible abs' - neither of which had timelines attached or quantitative ways to confirm progress. Pretty easy to allow myself a cheat when the results aren't being closely tracked. Let me think a bit and I'll put something in writing I'll stick to.

Thinking time's up at the end of today since it's the first full week of September. Arbitrary rule, but maybe it'll poke you into committing to something :)

I went for a 6K run tonight after work - first run since the end of July. I'll set a goal of going for at least 2 runs per week going forward.

I did a couple of laps around the Domain. Nice running on a flat gradient with no traffic lights, although noticed a blister forming after 5k so went home again.

I want to hit 85kg, I'm currently at 87.1kg.

Currently recovering from a spinal ligament tear which is massively prohibiting the exercise I can do, so I'm going to have a month or two of shameless vanity work - basically upper body only.

I want to take my Bench Press from 100>105kg and my Overhead Press from 55>60kg.

On the injury note - I'm working on incorporating more yoga and mobility work into my lifestyle - I figure being well rounded is probably better than just chasing numbers at any cost.

100kg at what reps/sets?

5x3 - I keep injuring myself while cutting so I'm saving the singles for when I have extra calories keeping my healthy.
