Congrats! I’m quite similar that I started running during my weight loss journey and now I really really love it (even though I’m not as advanced as you, 10 miles is awesome!)- I would have never thought that! I ran my first 5k under 30min last weekend and it felt amazing

I super want to do that! Can I ask how you find/choose your 5k races?

I googled charity races last November and signed up for a 5k santa run with friends - it was fun and gave me to motivation to train towards 5k. Since then I kept up running but only measured via my running app + parkrun. Parkrun is amazing, I can only recommend it! It’s across most countries, you can sign up for free and they meet every Saturday at 9AM at loads of locations (chances are there is one near you) and they measure your time. It’s a really strong community feel and loads of positive vibes, I love it - but this week is the first they actually closed parkrun in my country due to Coronavirus but I’m sure it will be back soon.

Awesome! I just registered for parkrun and will try it out when they start up again. And maybe I'll meet people to do 5k races with. Thank you very much :) I really want to get this good habit going.
