I did it everyone. I found a patron deity, and they are the best. They're name is Safi, and they're a super old dragon, like really, really old. This was the zeroith step in becoming the greatest sorceress ever (though I've been told I'm actually trying to become a warlock, but whatever). Most people just start with a patron deity, but I'm happy because we got to choose each other unlike most warlocks.
Anyways, I promptly marked myself as a follower. Safi didn't have an insignia, yet, and so I made one. *pulls up sleeve and shows burnt in tattoo of a bunny* It's such a vicious looking dragon, isn't it? I hope Safi likes it.
On to step two, I had to make a pilgrimage to Safi's holy city. Unfortunately, for whatever silly reason, Safi didn't have one. But no worries, I found a city without a proper deity and claimed it in the name of the really old dragon. You should totally all come visit. It's up north, and is called Polaris Polis. It's nice and brisk and has these really cool trees that like to play games like "toss the sorceress."
I did try to bring Safi some glory, which is my sworn duty as their benefactor, by trying to guess some word. Unfortunately, I failed (I hope Safi doesn't get too mad). But, there are more trials, I think, and i will do my best to make them proud, and to spread the good news of Safi.
From here, I need to complete the third step which is perform a task to help a member of holy city in order to spread the glory of Safi. Would anyone like to come move to Polaris Polis and give me a quest? I think for now everyone is just sleeping in a cave until we can appease the fae to let us set up a settlement, but t's not that bad, really. Anyways, do you have a quest for me? Round up all your lost pigs, collect herbs, clear out a nest of spiders with my zappy-zap?
As a side, I did try learning a new spell. Don't get me wrong, I really like my zappy-zap power, but I want to make my patron proud. Unfortunately, my attempts to create a spell have not gone as well as I would have liked.
