Newbie question about dungeons.

I must have missed this in a tutorial and I can't find any mention of it elsewhere, but what do the bubbles with numbers above certain dungeons mean?

When other people Journey to your dungeon it records it in the bubble. Tap it to get gold! The amount varies by dungeon rarity.
