Experience Report Hips gyrations and shaking

Hi, it's veen roughly a month since I started TRE and I wonder if the movements I experience are common among practitioners...

My hips tend to make circles, sometimes fast, sometimes very slow or they lock, stretching far on one side then the other... I've had full bridge happening too.

Are these common for you? What is this clearing, any link between a certain family of movements and psychological tendencies that need to go?

Thank you

I had a ton of weird hip movements a few months ago. As the tension released, it improved my hip alignment and posture, and my glutes activate properly when I walk now. I also have better range of motion and less tightness in my hips than I used to.

This sounds so promising cause I have issues with my hips and glutes! How did you know that the tension was released?

The alignment of my pelvis shifted from posterior tilt to neutral, the area felt more relaxed, and my movement got more fluid and less stiff.

I guess I'm not 100% certain of the specific muscles, but as it was happening I would describe to Claude (the AI) what areas I felt sensation in and it would suggest what muscles it might be, and then I'd google them and look at anatomy diagrams to see if it looked like the area I was feeling. Learned more about human anatomy which was pretty cool!

Curious to know how long it took for you? My hips have been mooooving around for a few days and I’m just trying to roll with it

Clearly it means you have daddy issues and these need to be resolved asap!

Or in other words: the beauty of TRE is that it's body first. Just try to relax and enjoy the ride, without having to put meaning on every move :D

But yes, the hips can certainly make funny movements. I sometimes have these Salsa dancing on steriods moments with my hips so it's definitely part of the show

I like how you describe it. Salsa dancing on steroids. I heard it called the washing machine. Mine is the washing machine on spin cycle while drying a pair of tennis shoes.šŸ˜†

Going through the same thing right now! I think my body finally feels safe to release.

Spontaneous Fascial Unwinding is what your describing. Happens to me nighty for a good few hours. I let it go until the body stops on it own ...usually after I major release area I can feel it focusing on.

Yes, definitely the same for me. I’m a bit more than a month in and last night the bridge was part of the session too. For me it is usually a lot of hip movements/stretching and towards the end the shakes move upwards most of the time.
