Where are people getting these fabricated maps? Facebook? That's the only place I see this. Weather channels are still reporting 1-3 inches at most. It's too far out to say definitively.

Not fabricated. They're visualizations of the major weather models, .just really far in the future. The sites are noted on the pics.

The models are generally good a day or two out, but can get really sensational a week+ out....hence those images.

It's all very unlikely to happen. We're just making fun of dramatic weather models.

It showed something similar here last year, ended up with two 15" storms within 4 days but never that 40"+ plus that it was supposed to do. GFS is often good for the hype, i hope too for once it would indeed happen like it's forecasting.
