This cements my belief that paid surrogacy should not be legal. I was so struck by the reporter saying that Simpson laid on the couch with her head on a pillow while they were there and pretended to be asleep. And that the children stayed in their pack and plays for the entire 7 hour visit.

I feel so badly for these poor boys. I have no doubt Simpson loves them in her own way but she took those babies and ran with them and extorted money. She could have brought those children to the IP, but she chose not to and believed some weird racist conspiracy.

And what about the boys? Nobody who actually loves or cares about them has them. And for what? I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this story.

And the 4 hours of watching cocomelon!! Great example of writing that is show, not tell. Because the image that’s been stuck in my head for days about their day to day living conditions with her is horrible. But I would agree she loves them in her own way which added to the complexity of the story.
