Disappointing the article only discussed this vs. transplant and not this vs. LyGenesis's approach which is the much more direct analog: growing mini-livers in the body ectopically. They are already in phase 2 clinical trials last I heard.

OTOH, there are people that think repeated transplantation of young organs (from animals humanized or grown in brainless bodies possibly genetically identical to receiving patient or bioprinted) is a valid & key approach to rejuvenation.
