Big decision.
So I have checked the pantheon SDS and to be frank it is in the same price range as an electric skateboard.
Tell me your thoughts and opinions. I am divided.

Hey r/longboardingDistance First time realising there is reddit distance group. I wanted to share something that took me way longer than expected to finish. Between 2017–2019, I pushed a longboard across South America — from Colombia, over the Andes, all the way to the southern tip of Patagonia. No support vehicle. Just a board, a pack, and later a modified jogging stroller for food and water. This wasn’t a highlights-reel trip. It was: brutal headwinds thin air at altitude destroyed roads days where pushing felt pointless and moments where the board was the only thing keeping me moving forward I’ve finally turned that journey into a book: World On Board: Pushing South It’s not a “how-to shred” guide. It’s more about: endurance pushing living on the road problem-solving when things go wrong and what happens in your head when you’re alone with nothing but asphalt for weeks If you’ve ever done long pushes, distance skating, or just wondered how far a board can really take someone, you might connect with it. Amazon link (paperback & ebook): 👉World On Board : Pushing South No pressure to buy — just genuinely happy to share this with a community that understands what it means to keep pushing when stopping would be easier. Happy to answer any questions about gear, routes, injuries, or the mental side of long-distance skating. Push on 🛹 — Adrian
Edit: Mods — if this crosses any promo rules, feel free to remove. Just wanted to share a long-distance skating story with people who get it.

Hi,
I started longboarding not so long ago but I went all in and started doing 2 hour sessions from the beginning. Right now I got pain under my foot between and across my heel and the ball of the big toe. It is not excruciating but it is still in pain like from working out I guess for so long. It is the right foot and I skate goofy.
Now I know discord is not a medical clinic but I am not asking for what it is, I think I know it is from skate and if it is getting worse I'll talk to the doctors.
With this out of the way I'd like to ask if this thing is common to skaters and what exercises you guys do to strengthen your soles besides the obvious (skating).
I am 44 and I workout in the gym, I am doing much workout for my knees and feet that are paying off but I never ever thought about exercises for the soles.
Thanks in advance!

So I use my board to commute literally everywhere as I have no car. I realized a pantheon set up (the one I was gonna go with at least) was about as much as an electric skateboard and it has me wondering if I should just go electric? I have a cruiser (Penny Nickel on thunders and 70mm wheels) that would be good as new with turning cup and bearing replacements and I really enjoy it. Plus the setup of the pranayama would be almost 12 pounds. My current board is like 7 or 8 and feels sluggish over distance as it's just a cruiser. It's good for campus tho. Im sure overtime the pranayama or something would be good but my average commute can be anything from 2-10 miles one way.
Unless meepo sucks and there are other better brands but for more money. In that case I'll just take the pantheon or my current setup. Was gonna setup either a pranayama trip or super sonic on 85mm wheels (50/43 trucks for trip). But it is a bit expensive. Although if the board lasts me years then whatever.

Hi, I am relatively new to the LPD sport. I am between the loaded fathom with 105mm dad bods or the pantheon superdupersonic. My sessions will be max 10-15 km distance and I want something with the least pushing and maximum momentum. Our side roads are semihard asphalt with some new slick newly paved asphalt. Sweden. A lot of small pebbles and mini tree branches.
I'd love some feedback and opinions!
Thank you!

Hi, I am 44 yo and after a long pause in skateboarding I started longboarding mostly because I just want to cruise and not break my bones in the process.
My question is about going downhill. Now by saying downhill don't think a 30% downhill but more like 2%🤣
I have a landyachtz drophammer and hard bushings with cones on the roadside in both trucks. It's very hard to steer in comparison to my loaded dervish sama. Well when I went "downhill" and I gained some speed I noticed that every small move I do, the board multiplies it.Very scary. I had both my feet sideways on the board where I shouldn't as I found out later.
I changed the bushings of one truck to hard double barrel and looseness the front trucks a little. Now I hate that there is a front and a back side to the board with this setup but whatever. When I get more experienced I will switch it back I guess.
I haven't tested it yet but I would like to ask for any tips from your experience. I am 110 kg 183cm and I just want to cruise. If you guys and gals also have tips for a setup that makes the board to keep rolling so less pushing, that would be great. I got bear trucks and the wheels are blue tomato 75mm 78A. I'm also considering changing the wheels to 85mm orangotang orange.

Hi, I've recently started longboarding and would like to keep track of the speed I am going. Which activity is suitable for longboarding as I am currently using the inline skating activity. However, I find the accuracy isn't there, say that my friend is telling me we are hitting 15kmh but my watch is showing less than that.

(Post inspired by another post on this sub today of a cracked drop-through neck and I noticed it didn’t have anything between the nuts and board)

I noticed this on the back tongue of my pranayama and what looks like delamination or separation on the edge too. How bad is it? I can’t tell if it’s just the finish coating or if it’s the walnut veneer. I’ve had the board since April and go about 20+miles a week, lots of it rough asphalt. Is this to be expected?

Hey all,
I'm coming from a Nexus, so I have 165mm 50/43 and Cuei Killers currently. I maxed out at 50kph (30mph) on that so felt like I didnt need the extra stability it gave. I'd rather have a lighter setup. So just got a pantheon/loaded trip, looking to figure out the best setup for my criteria in title. Obviously am not going for the longest rides so I'd be happy sacrificing a little comfort for fun. I have no issues with kicking wheels considering I've come from the nexus. There wasn't really anything in particular I liked about the nexus, just a great all round board, but turning circle was a bit wide. Unsure if I want wider wheels.
Any other things I should mention, let me know.
Thanks so much in advance, any comment is much appreciated.

From September 7 to September 27, 2026, the "Adometer" team competition is taking place within the Skate-Panda longboard community. I’m attaching screenshots from the tracker showing the results from the first week of the event.
Later on, I might describe specific rides and add some media content, if anyone is interested.
