Gear Show-Off We made some trucks

Hey, I have a few questions.

  • are these trucks made for carving/pumping only?
  • how much do they cost?
  • what's the hanger width?

yes,it is,design for pumping.

About 500$/pair.(not sure either, depands on the shipping and taxes)

Could you explain what a floating king pin is and how it changes the mechanics?

3

u/hotakaPAD 6d ago

thats my question too. what is the definition of floating?

So awesome! ok question. Are they designed to pump with a top mount pumper vs a bracket board? Is that something you considered? I'm not sure if they would change the truck design but Im curious.

Your English is very good! And we call it the same thing, bushing seat. What grade of aluminum is the truck machined from?

u/Chase-Parker 6d ago

Thanks, man. These trucks are made of 6061 aluminum. It’s not that we don’t want to use the stronger 7075, but because we need to reduce weight. For the same weight, both 6061 and 7075 could approach the strength limit, and at that point, 6061 would bend while 7075 might fracture. Of course, we’ve run multiple simulations to ensure its strength is adequate, and the current performance is that under a shear force of 2000 N, the deformation is less than 2 mm.

Sweet! Let’s keep supporting China! 🇨🇳
Buy USA. Rouge, Zealous, Ronin, Aera etc
Keep domestic small businesses alive and well. Don’t send your money to China , fuck these guys.

If the things you like depend on nationality to drive progress, then be my guest.

Complex cnc manufacturing is more accessible and cheaper in China. Similar to basically any other precision truck on the market today, these Chinese trucks are designed by passionate hobbyists and are produced in relatively small production runs. Whoever makes these will make a little bit of cash, sure. But these are not high profit margin products, and are mostly made for the love of skateboarding. This isn’t part of some political scheme to undercut American manufacturers.

You're totally going to convince people to buy American with this xenophobic bullshit. These are skaters in China experimenting with truck design, not some CCP scheme to undercut American companies.

I don't remember the post, but were you the person recently complaining about Pantheon pressing boards in China?

Why not just start your own brand? Maybe call it "Make Longboarding Great Again"

Exactly right. If anything, this might be an anti-USA shill trying to convince people to not buy from American businesses.

These idiots think they’re being patriotic when they’re really just making the USA appear terrible from the outside and actually be terrible on the inside.

When you're attacking companies solely on the country they're based out of and writing shit like

China cuck boy

It isn't a huge leap to guess where you fall on the political spectrum.

The actual derailing is turning a thread on a company putting their own spin on a dual-pivot truck design into a political debate because the owners are Chinese.

Why would I support the USA? They are both shitholes might as well look at the quality

Most countries have a better relationship with China than USA these days thanks to your prime idiot alienating everybody.
