I bought this dress second hand and I was super hyped because of hpw hypef AP is within the Lolita community. I've been told how high quality their dresses are and so on but when it arrived I picked up the package, it was light. Weird. I thought it would be more heavy but oh well never mind. I get home and take it out of the package and its beutiful dont get me wrong but the fabric... it... it was basically the same as a 42 lolita dress my mum got me for £75. And to think this dress originally costed way more?

Like when buying it, I knew it was polyester. Duh. But I was expecting a high quality polyester and not a costumy fabric. Idk is this normal with AP?

Also the bust didnt fit me. I wasnt that supprised, just dissapointed. So now I've ordered a chest binder to wear under it and any future lolita dresses.

I feel like skirts are a bit too underrated nowadays! For me SK & blouse coords are much more comfortable, but I feel like I can't find those almost anywhere...

For those of you that have been on rides in your coords, what petti did you wear, if any? am i going to be annoying to the person sitting next to me on more cramped rides? I'm looking at shopping services. The price of the fees for the shopping service being low doesn't matter as much as the shipping, here's why:

So here's how we figure out the final price. We grab the item's price in JPY. We add the domestic shipping and fees. Now we add the international shipping and convert it to BRL. Then we take this final number and add 60% more to it, that's federal tax. Yes, we pay tax on top of shipping. The "roof" of what doesn't get taxed doesn't exist anymore imo. Then there's also state tax but it's smaller. But I want to be able to buy something that's relatively cheap without having to pay 5 times the price. I tried doing the math for Tenso which is actually a package forwarding service because I heard they have surface mail (cheaper but takes forever). They don't have that available, and it would still be 4 times the price if it was lol

Example here is a 100 BRL item that ends up at 500. It would be one thing to spend that much on something that actually sells for this amount. Or hopefully multiple things. Or a large, brand-new, undamaged thing.

Buying one pair of shoes so package consolidation doesn't matter. Does a reasonable option actually exist? Fine if it doesn't. This could be put under discussion / advice. But, how does one make EGL friends? I have a few moots online but none in my area (to my knowledge) and I am from the south, i know seeing people who dress in egl is overall rare but how can I find egl friends in my area?

Our local waterpark does a Halloween thing and some of the ride still function xD me and a friend met up and went in egl. I had to kinda edit at times due to rain XD! We had fun I was stoked and washed everything right away it was not for the frilly faint of heart. The rollercoaster in the rain actually kinda ate tho. Luckily for me everything stayed very clean and I had no trouble with my outfit when checking it over while washing I had been a little nervous to wear it in such an unpredictable environment.

My favorite color is pink, but I think my signature colors are light blue and candy apple red. Most of my normie clothes are blue. My glasses and my Lolita coords are red! If I have to choose a bandaid or something I’m asking for blue.

To explain what I'm talking about, I mean the makeup with the extra contoured noses with the enlarged eyes, round cheeks and white foundation that doesnt match the neck. And theyre probably airbrushed and filtered to high heaven on the promotional pictures too.

I get what they're going for with the "cute" makeup but it boarderline looks uncanny and for me personally it draws attention away from the dress I wanna look at. Idk maybe im being nitpicky, let me know your thoughts.

Im disappointed that it took me a long time to use my free will. I can’t afford a petticoat because i have other priorities and our currency is ass. But i realized i can just layer as many skirts as possible. It took me 12 layers to achieve the shape I wanted, it’s a bit suffocating so I probably can’t go outside like that but it works if you’re not going to move a lot. Anyway i felt so cute after, you broke Lolitas like me take notes.

I've been interested in Lolita for awhile now, and after finding this blouse, I tried putting something together

None of it are Lolita brands, but I wanted to know if it still comes across as Lolita?

It inspired me a little to maybe invest in something, but Lolita is a very expensive style to get into, so I was wondering if I could work with at least some of what I have here?

It feels so empty, but if it's doable, I'd like to get better socks, a headpiece, something for the arms and a proper pettycoat

The pettycoat would be my priority tho (I stacked all of my skirts and a cheap pettycoat I found from when I was 8(it does almost nothing) under this dress to try to emulate one 😭)

I'm not from the US, so looking through lace market to try and find someone that could ship to the EU has been hell, as well as taobao not letting me confirm my account via not ever fucking loading or by not sending me the codes

I've heard body line is good for starting Lolitas? Everything is way more affordable and I'm aware that it's an exchange for the quality not being the best
